  • Pius Suter C | STL

Blues' Pius Suter: Nabs helper in return

Suter posted an assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Suter returned from a 15-game absence due to an ankle injury, and he centered the third line. He ranked second among Blues forwards with 18:05 of ice time, and since the team is still a bit thin down the middle, there could be room for Suter to land a top-six role. The 29-year-old has managed 15 points, 62 shots on net, 29 hits, 13 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 38 appearances in his first year with the Blues.

  • Blues' Brayden Schenn: Supplies pair of helpers

Schenn recorded two assists and five hits in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Schenn's second helper came on the power play. The 34-year-old has five points over his last four outings. He's been on the wing for the last couple of games, and he's seeing top-line usage while Robert Thomas (leg) is out through the Olympic break. Schenn is up to 12 goals, 12 helpers, six power-play points, 78 shots on net, 123 hits, 25 blocked shots, 47 PIM and a minus-25 rating over 55 appearances.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Snaps five-game losing streak

Woll made 28 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over the Canucks on Saturday.

It was Woll's first win since Jan. 12; he was 0-3-2 in the five games since that time, and he had allowed five or more goals in three of those contests. Woll is 12-7-4 with a 2.96 GAA and a .909 save percentage overall this season. His numbers remain strong despite his cold stretch.

  • Tyler Tucker D | STL

Blues' Tyler Tucker: Finds twine Saturday

Tucker scored a goal and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Tucker had five points over 14 contests in January, including a goal and an assist over his last three games. This was his most productive month of the campaign, largely because he's been able to stay in the lineup without getting healthy scratched. He's now at three goals, 11 points, 53 shots on net, 74 hits, 37 blocked shots, 56 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 50 appearances while filling a bottom-four role.

  • Blues' Jonatan Berggren: Collects pair of points

Berggren scored a power-play goal on two shots and added an assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Berggren has three points over his last two games. His uptick in offense should help him stick in the lineup a little better, though he's likely to remain in a middle-six role. The 25-year-old forward is up to seven goals, seven assists, 41 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-4 rating over 34 outings between the Blues and the Red Wings this season.

  • Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Pots shootout goal in return

Nylander registered five shots on net and scored a goal in the shootout in a 3-2 win over Vancouver on Saturday.

Nylander had missed the previous seven games due to a groin injury, but he looked great in his return. He threaded passes perfectly, and he was able to change direction quickly and show off his elusiveness when carrying the puck. Nylander had points in five of his last six games prior to the injury while delivering six goals and six assists in that span.

  • Blues' Jimmy Snuggerud: Goal, assist in Saturday's loss

Snuggerud scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Snuggerud has two goals and four helpers during his active four-game point streak. A spot on the top line is suiting him well as he surges on offense. The 21-year-old rookie is up to nine goals, 21 points, 93 shots on net, 46 hits, 27 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 43 appearances. Snuggerud's not in must-have territory in standard formats, but he's definitely a player to keep an eye on.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Loses sixth straight outing

Binnington allowed four goals on 22 shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Binnington has given up 26 goals on 152 shots (.829 save percentage) during his six-game losing streak. Despite his awful performances, Binnington has maintained a timeshare with Joel Hofer, who has won three of his last six games. Binnington is now 8-16-6 with a 3.60 GAA and an .866 save percentage across 31 outings. He's borderline unplayable in fantasy with those ratios, and the Blues would be justified in giving Hofer a starter's workload for the rest of the campaign. The Blues' last two games before the Olympic break are on the road, in Nashville on Monday and in Dallas on Wednesday.

  • Blue Jackets' Ivan Provorov: Gathers helper Saturday

Provorov logged a power-play assist and three blocked shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Blues.

The latter half of January wasn't kind to Provorov's offense. His helper Saturday ended an eight-game point drought, during which he had 21 shots on net and a plus-5 rating. The 29-year-old defenseman is at 19 points (three on the power play), 110 shots on net, 92 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 54 appearances. He plays a shutdown role, but he could still challenge for the 30-point mark if his offense comes back around.

  • Miles Wood LW | CLB

Blue Jackets' Miles Wood: Notches helper Saturday

Wood registered an assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Blues.

Wood earned his first point in three games since he returned from a leg injury that kept him out for nearly all of January. The 30-year-old winger is now at 13 points, 52 shots on net, 42 hits and a minus-6 rating across 35 appearances. Wood has been a bottom-six regular when healthy and looks set to get back to the 20-point mark after being limited to eight points in 37 regular-season outings with the Avalanche last year.
