Brewers infielder Hector Gomez forced to exit Wednesday's game against the Cardinals in the bottom of the sixth inning. Gomez, who was starting at third base, dove into the stands along the third-base line chasing down a foul pop up.
Gomez was checked out by the training staff for a number of minutes and he was able to walk off on his own power. He was replaced by Luis Sardinas.
The team has indicated that Gomez was removed for precautionary reasons and that he does not have a concussion, according to MLB.com.
