The Brewers have sent scouts to the Rangers' Double-A affiliate according to FoxSports.com's Jon Morosi.
The Rangers are interested in acquiring Zack Greinke, and the Brewers are likely looking for potential prospects to receive in a deal.
Morosi also confirmed that this is a special assignment scout and that it's not "routine coverage."
The Rangers' Double-A squad is loaded with talent. Five of the Rangers' top seven prospects, according to Baseball America, are playing for the Frisco RoughRiders.
Those prospects are: shortstop Jurickson Profar, pitcher Martin Perez, third baseman Mike Olt, pitcher Neil Ramirez and pitcher Cody Buckel.
