Injury news and notes from around the league as Monday night's games begin.
- Alex Rodriguez has a stiff neck, but he'll play tonight against the Blue Jays, wrote MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. Rodriguez will DH and bat third, while Eric Chavez will play third base and bat eighth.
- More from Hoch: CC Sabathia will pitch Tuesday night, and he hasn't felt any soreness in his groin as he rehabs from a strain that landed him on the DL.
- Joba Chamberlain will continue his rehab stint on Tuesday night with the Gulf Coast League Yankees or Class A Tampa Yankees. Chamberlain threw two scoreless innings Saturday night. He hasn't allowed a hit in three innings, and has struck out four batters.
- Colorado right-handed pitcher Juan Nicasio is out for the season after microfracture surgery on his left knee, tweeted MLB.com's Thomas Harding.
- Nicasio was 2-3 with a 5.28 ERA in 11 starts for the Rockies. Opponents were hitting .313 against him.
- Marlins reliever Juan Carlos Oviedo is out with a UCL sprain in his right elbow, tweeted The Palm Beach Post's Joe Capozzi.
- It's unknown when Oviedo will return. He threw 0.1 innings for Triple-A New Orleans on Saturday night, allowing a hit and a walk.
- Torii Hunter's back in the Angels lineup after missing the weekend with a groin injury, tweeted the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett.
- Baltimore's Robert Andino is headed to the disabled list with a strained left shoulder, tweeted The Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina. Andino will miss three to four weeks.
