FOXSports.com's Jon Morosi wrote the San Francisco Giants are the class of the National League West, but because of Tim Lincecum's struggles, they need to add a starting pitcher.
- San Francisco can't count on Lincecum returning to form this year, as his 6.08 ERA is the second-worst mark among qualifying NL pitchers.
- The Giants need an insurance policy to complement Matt Cain, Ryan Vogelsong and Madison Bumgarner, who form one of the best starting trios in all of baseball.
- Morosi writes the Giants don't need one of the big three starting pitchers -- Cole Hamels, Zack Greinke and Matt Garza -- available, but mentions Milwaukee's Marco Estrada, the Padres' Clayton Richard or Seattle's Jason Vargas as making sense for San Francisco.
- The Giants could also use a right-handed outfield bat, as the non-waiver trade deadline approaches.
