Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun talked trade possibilities with Orioles general manager Dan Duquette on Friday.
- It doesn't appear the Orioles will be in the trade market for starting pitchers. "You take a look around at the pitchers [available] in the industry and we have pitchers with the same capabilities as those pitchers within our organization. My hope is we can get the good performances from the players we have," Duquette told Connolly.
- Duquette also mentioned the Orioles would like to improve their on-base ability in their lineup. New acquisition Omar Quintanilla owns a .350 OBP this season but just .278 for his career. The Orioles' .303 OBP bests only the Athletics (.302) and Mariners (.295) in the American League.
