The Phillies have recalled B.J. Rosenberg from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reported Friday. As a result of Joe Blanton's trade to the Dodgers, Kyle Kendrick moves from the bullpen in to the starting rotation, with Rosenberg taking Kendrick's spot in the bullpen.

Rosenberg started the season at Double-A Reading, where he notched a 1.12 ERA in eight innings before receiving a promotion to Lehigh Valley. He has remained solid in the higher level, striking out 63 against 12 walks in 54 innings with a 2.00 ERA. However, at 26 years old he is old for both levels.

Kendrick draws the Arizona Diamondbacks for Friday's start. He owns a 4.51 ERA and 1.75 K/BB as a starter in 111 opportunities.
