Rangers catcher Mike Napoli left Friday night's game with a bruised right quadricep muscle and the injury will keep him out of Saturday night's game in Seattle, wrote the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Jeff Wilson.
Napoli, who suffered the injury sliding into home, is batting .225/.339/.414 in 75 games this season, well off the career-high numbers he posted last year. He'll be a free agent at the end of the season. He's making $9.4 million this year.
Yorvit Torrealba, batting .216/.284/.309 in 42 games this season, will catch and bat eighth on Saturday night.
