Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts out of the lineup Tuesday

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, the team announced. In his place will be Brock Holt, making his second start of the season. Bogaerts has started all seven games for Boston so far this season at shortstop and is likely getting a day of rest. He is a career .277 hitter against right handers.

Also getting the day of his Shane Victorino, as Daniel Nava will replace him in right field and bat seventh. Nava is hitting .364 in 11 at-bats to start the year.

The Red Sox are currently the favorites (-124) over the Nationals.
