Former Rangers reliever Kyuji Fujikawa has been signed by the Fighting Dogs, an independent Japanese team in his hometown of Kochi, per the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
The 34-year-old Fujikawa struggled mightily for the Cubs and Rangers in 29 appearances over the last three seasons, compiling a 5.74 ERA and allowing 31 hits in 26 2/3 innings.
He was released by Texas on May 22.
