AJ Cassavell@AJCassavell17H agoTy France came off the bench and hit a two-run triple. Xander Bogaerts came off the bench and hit a two-run homer. The Padres' bench usage (today's pitch clock violation aside) has been excellent all season. They now lead 5-1.

AJ Cassavell@AJCassavell18H agoLooked like the Padres weren't ready to pinch-hit for Sung-Mun Song after the Giants went to left-hander Matt Gage. Song was at the plate before Ty France emerged from the dugout, and the Padres had to take a pitch-clock violation just to get France to the plate.
