Jacob Lindgren: Cut loose by Pale Hose
The White Sox released Lindgren on June 4.
Lindgren reached the big leagues with the Yankees in 2015, but he's been unable to make his way back to baseball's top level since undergoing Tommy John surgeries in August 2016 and March 2018. The 28-year-old lefty struggled mightily over eight appearances for Triple-A Charlotte this season, giving up nine earned runs on five hits and 15 walks over eight innings.

White Sox's Jacob Lindgren: Part of pool
Lindgren joined the White Sox's 60-man player pool Tuesday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Lindgren will be part of a group of 16 players working out at the team's satellite camp. The lefty threw seven big-league innings back in 2015 but has thrown just 35.2 innings at any level over the last four years while recovering from a pair of Tommy John surgeries. He could earn another look at the big-league level this season if he proves to be both healthy and effective in camp.

White Sox's Jacob Lindgren: Returns from MiLB injured list
Lindgren (elbow) was activated off the injured list at High-A Winston Salem last week.
Lindgren signed a minor-league deal with the White Sox in January but missed the first few months of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March 2018. The 26-year-old first had a rehab assignment with the organization's AZL affiliate and could move higher in the minor as he regains his form.

White Sox's Jacob Lindgren: Joins White Sox
Lindgren (elbow) signed a minor-league deal with the White Sox on Saturday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Lindgren missed the entirety of the 2018 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery -- the second of his career -- in March. It remains unclear what the 25-year-old's recovery timetable currently looks like, but he is unlikely to be ready for Opening Day, at least.

Lindgren (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list and outright to Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.

Braves' Jacob Lindgren: Transferred to 60-day DL
Lindgren (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Friday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
This is merely a procedural move to free up a spot on the 40-man roster, as Lindgren has already been ruled out for the 2018 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery earlier this week. In a corresponding move, the Braves selected the contract of right-hander Miguel Socolovich from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Braves' Jacob Lindgren: Undergoes second Tommy John surgery
Lindgren underwent Tommy John surgery Tuesday.
The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews. Lindgren hasn't pitched in the majors since 2015. He had his first Tommy John surgery in August 2016, causing him to miss the entire 2017 season. He was expected to return this year, but suffered a setback early in camp. The talent that made the 25-year-old lefty a second-round pick back in 2014 may still be there, but it would be tough to bet on anyone after their second Tommy John surgery.

Braves' Jacob Lindgren: Remains shut down
Lindgren (elbow) remains restricted from throwing and is without a timetable to resume doing so, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The Braves shelved Lindgren a little over a week ago after he felt discomfort in his elbow while throwing a live batting-practice session. The team is confident that Lindgren isn't dealing with a structural issue to the elbow, but since the southpaw required Tommy John surgery in 2016, the Braves are opting to take a cautious approach. Once big-league camp closes, Lindgren appears likely to stick around for extended spring training before heading out on an extended rehab assignment.

Braves' Jacob Lindgren: Suffers setback
Lindgren's elbow felt sore after his last throwing session, and he isn't expected to return in the near future, Gabriel Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Lindgren is still recovering from Tommy John surgery that forced him to miss the entire 2017 season. After feeling soreness during his last scheduled throwing session, the 24-year-old left-hander has had his return pushed back. This is likely just a precaution, but it's concerning that he's been unable to take the mound.

Braves' Jacob Lindgren: Lands on 60-day DL
Lindgren (elbow) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Wednesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Considering that the 23-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery in August, this move comes as no surprise. It's unclear where he is in his rehab process, but Lindgren will likely miss most if not all of the 2017 season regardless.

Braves' Jacob Lindgren: Agrees to deal with Braves
Lindgren signed a one-year deal with the Braves on Sunday.
Because he underwent Tommy John surgery in August, Lindgren isn't expected to be ready for action once the 2017 season rolls around. Before getting injured in 2016, Lindgren threw seven innings over six games at High-A Tampa and recorded an 8:9 K:BB in that time.

Lindgren was non-tendered by the Yankees on Friday.
Lindgren underwent Tommy John surgery in August 2016 and will now have to find another team to rehab and hopefully return with. The 23-year-old former second-rounder struck out eight and allowed three home runs in seven innings of major league work during the 2015 season.

Lingren will have Tommy John surgery, Chad Jennings of LoHud Yankees Blog reports.
Lindgren, the Yankees' 2014 second-round pick, will miss the remainder of the 2016 season and the entire 2017 season while he recovers from Tommy John surgery. The 23-year-old was effective in his short season with High-A Tampa, posting a 2.57 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in six relief appearances. His status should be updated in the future as his recovery progresses.

Yankees' Jacob Lindgren: Reassigned to minor league camp
The Yankees reassigned Lindgren to minor league camp Sunday, Sweeny Murti of WFAN reports.
Lindgren's age-22 season was cut short to a bone spur in his throwing elbow, and the addition of Aroldis Chapman (suspension) in the offseason solidified most of the spots in the Yankees' bullpen. In three spring appearances, Lindgren didn't exactly help his cause with four runs allowed in 2.1 innings, though all of those occurred in his very first showing. With the move to minor league camp, the southpaw will act as organizational depth.
