Adolfo is a fairly interesting prospect, but his strikeout issues may have convinced the White Sox he wasn't worth keeping around on the 40-man roster. In 101 games split across the two highest minor-league levels last season, he whiffed 34.1 percent of the time, so it's likely he'd strike out at an untenable rate against big-league pitching. He's a decent candidate to be claimed off waivers, however, as he managed a .245/.311/.520 slash line (good for a 121 wRC+) despite all those strikeouts.

He is one of the White Sox's top hitting prospects, and had been dealing with this elbow issue all year, but only recently had a setback in his throwing program. He should still be rostered in most serious dynasty leagues; after all, Twins outfield prospect Alex Kirilloff underwent the procedure a couple years ago and is now one of the top prospects in the game. Adolfo, 21, hit .283/.368/.466 with 11 home runs and a 27.2 percent strikeout rate in 334 plate appearances this year for High-A Winston-Salem.
