The Pirates reassigned Bins to minor-league camp Sunday.
Bins was reassigned to minor-league camp for the second straight spring. The catcher dealt with injuries throughout the 2023 season in the minors and had a few stints on the injured list.

Pirates' Carter Bins: Reassigned to minor-league camp
Bins was reassigned Tuesday to the minor-league side of Pirates camp.
Bins will open the season at Triple-A Indianapolis, where he posted a .208/.298/.408 batting line with 10 home runs in 71 games last year. He could get a shot in Pittsburgh in 2023 if injuries hit the catcher portion of the depth chart.

Pirates' Carter Bins: Shipped to Pittsburgh
Bins and Joaquin Tejada were traded from the Mariners to the Pirates on Tuesday in exchange for Tyler Anderson.
Bins began the season at Low-A Everett, where he posted a .915 OPS in 40 games, though he was promoted to Double-A Arkansas in mid-July. The 23-year-old figures to remain at that level with his new organization.
