Manager Pat Murphy said after Friday's win over Miami that he believes Frelick (shoulder) "won't be able to go anytime soon," Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
The Brewers pulled Frelick out of Friday's contest when he reported soreness in his shoulder after making a throw from right field in the fourth inning of Friday's game, and although no decisions have been made just yet, Murphy's comments seem to suggest that the 26-year-old might have to spend some time on the injured list. Frelick will presumably head in for imaging to determine the severity of his injury, at which point a timeline for his return could emerge. In the meantime, Luis Lara figures to receive regular opportunities in the outfield.

Frelick went 0-for-1 at the plate before his shoulder forced him out of the game in the fifth inning. The severity of his injury is still unknown, but the Brewers could issue another update on his status in the near future. If his absence extends into Saturday, Luis Lara would be the next man up to start in right field for Milwaukee.

Frelick went 2-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two stolen bases in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.
Frelick hasn't run as much this season -- he picked up his second and third steals of the year after going 19-for-25 on the basepaths in the 2025 regular season. The outfielder is batting .250 (13-for-52) over 14 contests in May, with his double Sunday being his first extra-base hit of the month. Overall, he's batting .224 with a .614 OPS, three home runs, 13 RBI, 19 runs scored and three doubles across 161 plate appearances as Milwaukee's starting right fielder.
Frelick is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
The 26-year-old started the previous eight games, including three against left-handed starting pitchers, but Frelick will head to the bench Sunday as southpaw Carlos Rodon (shoulder) makes his season debut for New York.
