McGreevy (3-0) allowed a run on five hits over eight innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over the Giants.
McGreevy let just one Giant reach scoring position through six frames before finally coughing up an RBI single to Brett Wisely in the seventh inning. McGreevy was very efficient, throwing 64 of 91 pitches for strikes, though he forced only seven whiffs. He was impressive during his short rookie season; McGreevy posted a 1.96 ERA and an 18:2 K:BB through 23 frames.

Cardinals' Michael McGreevy: Set for MLB debut Wednesday
Rotowire
The Cardinals will call up McGreevy from Triple-A Memphis to start Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
The Cardinals are in a stretch of 16 games without a day off, so they'll give McGreevy a spot start in order to provide some rest for their regular rotation members. The 2021 first-round pick will be making his major-league debut Wednesday after turning in a 4.45 ERA and 96:36 K:BB over 109.1 innings covering 20 starts with Memphis. He's not currently on the Cardinals' 40-man roster.

Cardinals' Michael McGreevy: Moves up to Triple-A
Rotowire
McGreevy was promoted to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
McGreevy began the year with Double-A Springfield after producing an unremarkable 4.64 ERA in 20 starts there last season. The Cardinals evidently didn't need to see much to move him up to the next level, as he got the call after recording a 1.45 ERA in three starts. Getting to the doorstep of the big leagues presumably puts him in consideration for a promotion later this season, though he's not yet on the 40-man roster.

Cardinals' Michael McGreevy: Sent down to minors camp
Rotowire
McGreevy was reassigned Saturday to minor-league camp by the Cardinals, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
McGreevy was the Cardinals' first-round pick in 2021, and the 22-year-old wasn't a serious contender to open the year with St. Louis. The right-hander advanced to Double-A last season, however, and he has a chance to make his MLB debut before 2023 comes to a close.
