  • Twins' Kala'i Rosario: Returns from elbow injury

Rosario (elbow) has gone 6-for-19 with a double, an RBI and four runs in four games since being reinstated from Double-A Wichita's 60-day injured list Friday. Rosario had been on Wichita's IL since June 12 with an elbow injury before he was cleared to begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers last week. He needed only two games in the Florida State League before the Twins decided that he was fit to rejoin the Double-A club. The 22-year-old outfielder is slashing .248/.340/.413 with six home runs and three stolen bases across 250 plate appearances at Wichita this season.

  • Twins' Kala'i Rosario: Dealing with elbow injury

Rosario was placed on the 60-day injured list at Double-A Wichita due to an elbow injury, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reported Tuesday. Rosario has put up a .759 OPS with six homers and three stolen bases during 52 games with Wichita this season but is facing an extended absence due to an elbow injury. The 21-year-old isn't a highly ranked prospect; however, he's been quite productive since entering the Twins system in 2021 and has been quickly rising through the organization.

  • Twins' Kala'i Rosario: Improved skills at High-A

Rosario is slashing .270/.382/.414 with one home run and a 133 wRC+ in 131 plate appearances for High-A Cedar Rapids. Known more for his power than any other tool, Rosario has only managed one home run thus far as a 20-year-old in the Midwest League. However, his 133 wRC+ ranks third in the league among hitters 21 and younger, behind only Yeiner Fernandez and Cayden Wallace. Rosario has cut his strikeout rate from 32.5 percent at Single-A to 28.2 percent and upped his walk rate from 8.1 percent to 14.5 percent. He should start tapping into more of his plus raw power as the weather warms up in the Midwest.
