Blue Jays' Adam Macko: Back in action, joins Triple-A
Macko (forearm) was reinstated from Double-A New Hampshire's 7-day injured list Sept. 11 and promoted to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.
Macko had been on the shelf at Double-A since July 6 with a left forearm injury before beginning a rehab assignment with Single-A Dunedin on Aug. 24. After three rehab starts with Dunedin, Macko returned to action for New Hampshire on Sept. 11, tossing four innings while allowing six runs in a loss to Somerset. Despite the poor showing, Macko moved up to Buffalo and made his Triple-A debut Tuesday, when he struck out three while allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over three innings.

Blue Jays' Adam Macko: Shelved with forearm injury
Double-A New Hampshire placed Macko on its 7-day injured list Saturday with left forearm soreness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The injury cropped up during Macko's most recent start July 2 before New Hampshire opted to deactivate him a few days later. The 23-year-old lefty is rehabbing the injury, but if he's unable to make much progress in his recovery in the weeks to come, surgery could become a more distinct possibility. Macko had produced a 4.42 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 86:26 K:BB in 77.1 innings with New Hampshire before being shut down.

Blue Jays' Adam Macko: Pushing for promotion
Macko could get promoted to Triple-A Buffalo in the near future, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The 23-year-old southpaw, acquired from Seattle two offseasons ago, is having a strong campaign with Double-A New Hampshire thanks to improved control. He's found another gear over the last month, posting a 2.81 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 46:7 K:BB through his last six starts and 32 innings. Macko features a mid-90s fastball and a big curveball, but it's the development of his changeup and sweeper that will determine whether he can ultimately thrive in a big-league rotation.

Blue Jays' Adam Macko: Sent to minors
The Blue Jays optioned Macko to Triple-A Buffalo on March 8.
Macko attended his first big-league spring training with Toronto after he was protected from the Rule 5 Draft over the winter and added to the 40-man roster, but the Blue Jays' decision to cut him early in camp suggests he was never particularly close to winning a spot on the 26-man roster. The 23-year-old lefty has yet to pitch above the High-A level and is likely at least a year away from making his MLB debut.

Blue Jays' Adam Macko: Dealt to Toronto
Macko (undisclosed) was a part of the package that the Mariners traded to the Blue Jays in return for Teoscar Hernandez on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Macko will make his way to Toronto after spending the first three years of his career with the Mariners' organization following his selection in the seventh round of the 2019 Draft. The left-hander made eight starts with High-A Everett, compiling a 3.99 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 60 strikeouts over 38.1 innings. Macko is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury, but when healthy, he'll provide the Blue Jays with another potential long-term option in their rotation.

Mariners' Adam Macko: Sidelined at High-A
High-A Everett transferred Macko from the 7-day injured list to the 60-day IL on July 23 while he continues to deal with an unspecified injury.
The Mariners haven't acknowledged the nature of Macko's injury, but he hasn't pitched for Everett since May 21 and is without a clear timeline for a return. Before hitting the shelf, the 21-year-old lefty turned in a 3.99 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 60:20 K:BB over 38.1 innings.
