The Twins optioned Camargo to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. • Twins' Jair Camargo: Recalled from Triple-A

The Twins recalled Camargo from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday. Camargo will give the Twins a third catcher down the stretch. He might not see any action this weekend but his presence allows the club to use Ryan Jeffers at designated hitter, if needed.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Sent back to minors

The Twins optioned Camargo to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports. • Twins' Jair Camargo: Rejoins major-league club

The Twins recalled Camargo from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday. Camargo will give the Twins a second catcher behind Ryan Jeffers for the next few days while Christian Vazquez is on the paternity list. He's a good bet to be sent back down later this week once Vazquez is ready to return.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Sent down to minors

The Twins optioned Camargo to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday. Camargo's most recent stint with the Twins lasted two weeks, and he went hitless in just two plate appearances. The 25-year-old is still looking for his first base knock in the majors, having gone 0-for-6 in his limited opportunities.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Brought up to bigs

The Twins recalled Camargo from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday. Camargo will take the place of Kyle Farmer (shoulder) on the Twins' roster. Minnesota was already dealing with injuries to Royce Lewis (groin) and Alex Kirilloff (back), so Camargo could see some work at first base or DH in a pinch as the Twins shuffle their roster. The 24-year-old catcher has slashed .215/.277/.431 over 141 plate appearances with St. Paul this season.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Healthy again for Triple-A club

Triple-A St. Paul reinstated Camargo (forearm) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday. Camargo started at catcher in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Louisville, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. The 24-year-old hadn't played for St. Paul since April 27 due to a right forearm strain but got the green light to rejoin the Triple-A club after going 9-for-26 with a home run, two doubles and three walks over seven rehab games between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Fort Myers.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Out with forearm injury

Camargo was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports. Camargo last saw the field for St. Paul on Saturday, when he went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a run scored. The severity of the forearm strain isn't known, so it's unclear how long the 24-year-old will be sidelined beyond the seven-day minimum.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Sent back to minors

The Twins optioned Camargo to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday. Camargo operated as the Twins' third catcher for a bit, which enabled Ryan Jeffers to see more work as a designated hitter. However, with Max Kepler (knee) returning from the 10-day injured list Monday, Camargo was deemed an expendable piece and will now head back to Triple-A to play regularly.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Recalled Saturday

Camargo was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul prior to Saturday's doubleheader against the Tigers. The 24-year-old catcher was slashing .268/.362/.463 with two home runs and 10 strikeouts in 11 games for Triple-A St. Paul and he was league average (100 wRC+) in 90 games at Triple-A last year. Ryan Jeffers and Christian Vazquez are still active, so Camargo will likely play sparingly in the short term. If he gets into a game, it would be his big-league debut.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Optioned to Triple-A

The Twins optioned Camargo to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday. The Twins don't have room for Camargo with Ryan Jeffers and Christian Vazquez handling catcher duties. He'll report to St. Paul, where he'll play regularly.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Added to 40-man roster

The Twins selected Camargo's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Camargo had been set for minor-league free agency, but the Twins will add him to the 40-man roster to prevent that from happening. The 24-year-old batted .259/.323/.503 with 21 home runs this season with St. Paul. He has not appeared in the majors.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Reassigned to MiLB camp

The Twins reassigned Camargo to minor-league camp Wednesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports. Camargo reached Double-A for the first time last season, slashing .227/.296/.426 in 196 plate appearances. He had a less-than-stellar spring, however, going just 1-for-9 at the plate with four strikeouts. The 23-year-old catching prospect will likely return to Double-A Wichita with a chance to advance to Triple-A at some point in the year.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Promoted to Double-A

Camargo has been promoted to Double-A Wichita. He was hitting .296/.314/.496 with six home runs at High-A Cedar Rapids. At 22, Camargo was a little old for his level so Double-A will be a better test. Though not thought of as a top prospect, he's a catcher with power who could continue to advance. He'll need to improve a very low 2.5 percent walk rate.

  • Twins' Jair Camargo: Out with hamstring injury

Camargo has been placed on the seven-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids, retroactive to August 6, due to a right hamstring strain. Carmago was hitting .239 with 13 home runs and a .755 OPS before the injury. Camargo joined the Twins organization in 2020 along with Kenta Maeda as part of a trade with the Dodgers.
