Cubs' Curtis Taylor: Agrees to minor-league deal

The 27-year-old right-hander posted a 3.91 ERA and 52:18 K:BB in 46 innings last season between three different levels of the Nationals' minor-league system. Taylor will serve as organizational depth for Chicago in 2023.

Blue Jays' Curtis Taylor: Heading to Toronto
Taylor and right-hander Edisson Gonzalez were dealt from the Rays to the Blue Jays on Sunday, completing the July 28 deal that sent infielder Eric Sogard to Tampa Bay, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
A former fourth-round pick of the Diamondbacks in 2016, Taylor will move on to the third organization of his career. The 24-year-old righty had pitched with Double-A Montgomery in the Southern League this season, posting a 3.06 ERA and notching seven saves in 17.2 innings before being shut down in late May with an elbow injury. According to Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca, the Blue Jays expect Taylor to be ready to pitch again in the spring, but any setbacks over the next few months could make Tommy John surgery a real possibility.
