  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Not in Friday's lineup

Peraza is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Red Sox on Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Even with southpaw Jake Bennett on the mound for the Red Sox, the righty-hitting Peraza will be on the bench for the start of Friday's game while Vaughn Grissom starts at second base and bats fifth. Over his last seven outings, Peraza has gone 1-for-21 with one RBI, two runs and 10 strikeouts.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: On bench against righty again

Peraza is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics. Peraza is on the bench for a second straight game while the Angels go up against another right-handed starter (Jack Perkins). Though the right-handed-hitting Peraza should remain a mainstay in the lineup versus lefties, playing time against same-handed pitching could prove to be more elusive after the Angels recently returned Vaughn Grissom from the injured list and called up Christian Moore from Triple-A Salt Lake.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Riding pine Tuesday

Peraza isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. Peraza will move to the bench Tuesday after going 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Monday's series opener. Nick Madrigal will take over as the Angels' second baseman and bat fifth.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Sitting after four straight starts

Peraza is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. Peraza will hit the bench for the series finale after he went 3-for-17 with a double, two steals, three RBI and a run while starting in each of the last four games. Nick Madrigal will fill in at the keystone in place of a resting Peraza.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Two steals in extra-inning win

Peraza went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Astros. Peraza tried his best to manufacture a run after his seventh-inning single, but he was left stranded. He's maintained decent stats at the plate in June, going 8-for-36 (.222) with two extra-base hits, six RBI and three steals over nine contests this month. On the season, he's been a bit better, hitting .267 with a .755 OPS, seven home runs, nine steals, 21 RBI, 19 runs scored, eight doubles and two triples across 63 games.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Continues to perform well

Peraza went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base Saturday in a 14-3 win against Tampa Bay. Peraza got in on a big offensive day by the Angels by clubbing a solo shot in the ninth inning. The 25-year-old has reached base safely in nine of his past 10 contests and is slashing .333/.400/.528 with two homers, four RBI, four runs and one stolen base over that stretch. Peraza isn't setting the world on fire, but he's earned a near-everyday role and is in the midst of a career-best campaign, posting a .277/.341/.465 slash line with seven long balls, 15 RBI, 17 runs and six stolen bases through 53 games.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Picking up playing time

Peraza will start at third base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Peraza will be included in the starting nine for the fifth time in the last six games, this time occupying third base after his previous four starts had come at second base. The Angels should have steady playing time available for Peraza in the short term after Yoan Moncada (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday. Peraza has been reasonably productive when given the chance to play; he's maintaining a .278/.347/.474 slash line to go with six home runs and five stolen bases over 148 plate appearances on the season.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Breaks out of HR drought Sunday

Peraza went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during the Angels' 6-1 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday. Peraza put the Angels on the board in the fifth inning with two-run long ball off Eric Lauer. It was Peraza's fifth home run of the year (tying his mark across 264 plate appearances in 2025) and his first long ball since April 16 against the Yankees. He is slashing .282/.339/.476 with five steals, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored across 113 plate appearances this season while serving as the Halos' utility man.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Perfect at plate in win

Peraza went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Yankees. After Mike Trout, Jo Adell and Jorge Soler all took Ryan Weathers deep for solo homers in the top of the first inning, Peraza added =a solo shot of his own in the third, sending a changeup over the wall in left field. Peraza has started 13 of the Angels' 18 games to begin the season, seeing action at both second and third base. He's slashing .267/.327/.511 with three home runs, five RBI, four runs scored, one stolen base and a 4:12 BB:K across 50 plate appearances.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Knocks second homer

Peraza went 1-for-5 with a home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 9-6 win against the Reds. Peraza belted a solo homer in the fourth inning and notched another RBI on a groundout in the seventh. The veteran infielder started at third base Sunday after being held out of the lineup the previous two days. Peraza is slashing just .214/.267/.405 with two long balls, three RBI and a stolen base through 46 plate appearances on the season. He may be in and out of the lineup, as Yoan Moncada and Vaughn Grissom are likely to get frequent starts at third and second base, which is where Peraza has logged most of his work this season.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Draws start at second base

Peraza will start at second base and bat ninth in Thursday's opener against the Astros. The right-handed-hitting Peraza will get the first crack at the keystone even as the Astros send righty Hunter Brown to the mound. Lefty bat Adam Frazier will also see reps at second base, but it seems he's behind Peraza in the early pecking order.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: In mix for starts at keystone

Peraza is in contention for starts at second base early in the season, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. Christian Moore and Kyren Paris were optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, and the Angels have yet to decide who will be their primary option at second base. Left-handed-batting Adam Frazier may have the upper hand, but manager Kurt Suzuki emphasized Monday that the team hasn't yet settled on a starter, saying the competition "might come down to the wire." Suzuki also stated that the Angels may opt to go with a modified platoon based on matchups, and Peraza could very well be part of that mix along with Frazier and Vaughn Grissom (hand). Peraza is out of minor-league options and has had a great spring, slashing .341/.386/.634 with two homers, six doubles, eight RBI and five stolen bases.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Homers off bench in loss

Peraza went 1-for-1 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Mariners. Peraza hit his fifth homer of the season and his second as an Angel after coming into the game as a defensive replacement for Yoan Moncada (ankle). If Moncada misses additional time, Peraza could be a candidate to gain playing time at third base moving forward, though he'll have to compete with Luis Rengifo and Chris Taylor. Peraza is slashing a paltry .173/.234/.268 with 19 RBI, 23 runs scored and six stolen bases over 239 plate appearances between the Angels and the Yankees this season.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: On bench Saturday

Peraza isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. After going 3-for-17 with seven strikeouts in his last five games, Peraza will stay put in the Angels' dugout Saturday while the team sends out Logan Davidson to cover first base.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Hitting stride at plate

Peraza went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, a run scored and a stolen base during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Royals. Peraza has struggled mightily at the plate this season, slashing .152/.212/.241 in 170 plate appearances with the Yankees before being traded to the Halos. The versatile infielder started his time in Los Angeles going 2-for-18, but he's begun to turn it around. In his last four games, Peraza is 5-for-13 (.385) with a home run, two stolen bases and four total RBI.

  • Angels' Oswald Peraza: Traded to Halos

The Yankees traded Peraza to the Angels on Thursday, Jack Curry of YES Network reports. In exchange for Peraza, the Yankees received Wilberson De Pena and international bonus money from the Angels, per Joel Sherman of the New York Post. Peraza lost playing time with the Yankees after New York acquired Ryan McMahon but should find some playing time with a struggling Angels team.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Out of Sunday's lineup

Peraza is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta. Peraza has been operating as the Yankees' primary third baseman over the past couple weeks, but he hasn't taken advantage of the opportunity and has gone 3-for-29 with nine strikeouts so far in July. Jorbit Vivas is manning the hot corner for the series finale in Atlanta.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Idle Thursday

Peraza isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners. Peraza will give way to Jorbit Vivas at the hot corner Thursday after going 1-for-8 with an RBI, a run and two strikeouts over the first two games of the series.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Settling in at third base

Peraza will start at third base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Mariners. Peraza will pick up his fourth consecutive start and his third straight at the hot corner, where he looks to be the Yankees' new top option after Jazz Chisholm was moved back to second base earlier this week. Since the Yankees aren't comfortable playing the 36-year-old DJ LeMahieu at the hot corner at this stage of his career, Peraza doesn't face any obvious threats for his starting gig, but it wouldn't be surprising if the team pursued an upgrade at the position prior to the July 31 trade deadline. Peraza has been a well-below-average hitter over his 146 plate appearances in the majors this season, slashing just .157/.226/.261 with three home runs and a 28.8 percent strikeout rate.

  • Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Shifts back to reserve role

Peraza is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians. After drawing seven starts in the Yankees' previous eight games, Peraza has now been left out of the lineup for both of the first two contests of the series versus the Guardians. Peraza's move to the bench was fully expected, as Jazz Chisholm (oblique) returned from the injured list Wednesday and should serve as the team's primary third baseman moving forward. Playing time could eventually open up for Peraza at second base, however, if DJ LeMahieu (.642 OPS in 54 plate appearances) continues to provide a limited impact at the dish.
