  • Brewers' DL Hall: Throwing on flat ground

Hall (pectoral) has progressed to throwing on flat ground from 60-to-75 feet, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports. Hall landed on the 15-day injured list in early June with a left pec strain. The lefty was given an anti-inflammatory injection earlier this month and cleared to resume throwing after visiting the doctor last week. Hall is aiming to rejoin the active roster for the Brewers by late July.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Hopes to be cleared to throw

Hall (pectoral) hopes to gain clearance to resume throwing during a checkup Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Hall has been sidelined for most of June with a left pectoral strain, and he was given an anti-inflammatory injection last week. If the shot did its job, Hall should be ready to resume a throwing program. The southpaw is targeting a late-July return.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Receives injection for pec

Hall received an anti-inflammatory injection for his left pectoral strain Friday, MLB.com reports. Hall could be cleared to start throwing once the shot takes full effect, but the southpaw is still preparing to miss around 4-to-8 weeks while he works his way back from the pec injury. Prior to landing on the shelf June 5, Hall notched three holds and turned in a 2.03 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 32:24 K:BB across 31 innings.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Targeting late-July return

The Brewers expect Hall to return from his left pec strain in late July, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Hall was originally expected to return sometime around the All-Star break when he first landed on the IL on Friday, but the team has since determined that he will require a slightly longer recovery. Hall had been enjoying a career year before getting injured, posting a 2.03 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 31 innings.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Out with pec strain

The Brewers placed Hall on the 15-day injured list Friday with a left pec strain, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Hall had to leave an appearance Thursday against the Giants due to the injury, and an MRI revealed a strain. The 27-year-old lefty is expected to miss roughly 4-to-6 weeks, per Hogg, which lines him up to return right around the All-Star break.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Battling pec discomfort

Manager Pat Murphy said after Thursday's game against the Giants that Hall was removed due to left pectoral discomfort, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Murphy added that Hall is slated to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury, so more information on his status may be available ahead of the Brewers' series opener against Colorado on Friday. The 27-year-old southpaw has been enjoying one of the best seasons of his career so far, posting a 2.03 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through 31 innings.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Exits appearance with injury

Hall was removed from Thursday's game versus the Giants due to an undisclosed injury, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. It's unclear what was bothering Hall, but he was escorted to the clubhouse with the Brewers' trainer in the fifth inning. The lefty had struck out one over 2.1 scoreless frames before being pulled. The Brewers should have more on Hall's status soon.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Gives up two runs in loss

Hall was only able to get through 0.1 innings Sunday as he allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks while tallying one strikeout in the 5-3 loss to the Marlins. Hall pitched two or more innings in eight of his 20 appearances last season, but Milwaukee has asked the right-hander to go multiple innings just twice to kick off the 2026 campaign. The differing usage may be due to injuries to Jared Koenig (elbow) and Craig Yoho (calf), but it's something to monitor considering the bullpen hierarchy could see more shakeups as Trevor Megill (10.79 ERA in seven appearances) continues to struggle in the early portions of the campaign. Hall did not allow a run through his first eight appearances, but he's now given up three earned runs in his last two outings. Walks have been a factor in both of those as the 27-year-old now has eight walks in 9.2 innings pitched so far this year.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Returns from IL

The Brewers activated Hall (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Sunday. Hall will rejoin the 28-man active roster ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Reds. Before landing on the IL on Aug. 16 due to a strained right oblique. Hall posted a 3.35 ERA in 37.2 innings with Milwaukee.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Throws bullpen session

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Cleared for plyometric work

The Brewers announced Wednesday that Hall (oblique) was cleared to begin plyometric work, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Though Hall isn't shut down from activities, he's yet to start up a throwing progression since landing on the injured list Aug. 16 with what he classified as a "Grade 1ish, Grade 2ish" right oblique strain. If he responds well to plyometric work, Hall could be cleared to start throwing in the near future, which would put him on track for a late-September return from the IL.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Heads to IL

The Brewers placed Hall on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a strained right oblique. Hall threw 2.2 innings of relief during Friday's win, and it appears as though he picked up an oblique injury during the contest. The 26-year-old has been relied upon as a bulk reliever in 2025, throwing 37.2 innings in 19 appearances on his way to a 3.35 ERA. Grant Anderson was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Opening Friday

Hall will serve as an opener ahead of Quinn Priester for Friday's game against the Nationals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Hall will make his third start of the season. The southpaw threw three innings in each of his other two appearances as an opener. The 26-year-old has completed at least two innings in seven of his 10 appearances in 2025 and has thrown five consecutive perfect innings.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Stingy as opener

Hall gave up one hit and two walks over three scoreless innings as the opener in Wednesday's 9-1 win over the Reds. He struck out three. The southpaw retired the first six batters he faced before running out of gas in the third, but Hall was able to escape a bases loaded, one-out jam and leave the mound after 48 pitches (23 strikes). He's served as the opener in tandem with Quinn Priester for two straight turns through the rotation, with Hall delivering six scoreless innings and a 7:3 K:BB. However, it's unclear whether the duo will be needed again as Brandon Woodruff (ankle) may have made his last rehab start Tuesday.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Works three scoreless frames

Hall took a no-decision as the Brewers' opening pitcher for Friday's 6-2 win over the Phillies, tossing three scoreless, no-hit innings and giving up one walk while striking out four. Since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Monday, Hall has made two appearances, giving up one earned run over 5.1 innings. Though he was being built up a starter during his minor-league rehab assignment, Hall looks like he could fill a hybrid role that includes occasional opener assignments as well as more traditional relief appearances. Hall ended up working in tandem Friday with Quinn Priester, who covered the final six innings en route to notching his second win of the season.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Works out of bullpen Monday

Hall (1-0) picked up a win while working 2.1 innings of relief in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Red Sox, allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out one. Fresh off being activated from the 60-day injured list Monday after missing the first two months of the season due to a left lat strain, Hall was quickly thrust into action. With starter Chad Patrick getting lifted from the game with two outs and a runner on second base in the top of the fifth, Hall came out of the bullpen to record the final out of the frame and then covered the next two innings before walking the lone batter he faced in the eighth. The Milwaukee bullpen was able to preserve the lead for the rest of the game, allowing Hall to come away with the win in his season debut. Hall had gotten stretched out to three innings during his rehab assignment and could be a candidate to make a start or bulk-relief appearance this weekend in Philadelphia, but the Brewers haven't confirmed their plans for the young southpaw.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Back from injured list

The Brewers reinstated Hall (lat) from the 60-day injured list Monday. Hall has been out since early in the calendar year with a lat strain but recently built up to three innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Nashville, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out six. He will presumably be available for length out of the bullpen for the Brewers' series against the Red Sox. The lefty pitched to a 5.02 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB in 43 innings (13 appearances) with Milwaukee last season.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Beginning assignment in rookie ball

Hall (lat) began a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Hall has spent all season working his way back from a left lat strain that he suffered early in spring camp. He's now due to begin pitching in a competitive environment, though he will require a healthy amount of reps in the minors before being ready to come off the IL.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: On track for April 15 side session

Hall (lat) is tentatively scheduled to throw a bullpen session April 15, MLB.com reports. Hall has been throwing on flat ground at the Brewers' spring training complex in Arizona and will be ready for mound work in mid-April if he continues to progress. He's slated for bullpen sessions April 15 and 18 before advancing to throwing live batting practice April 23. Hall is on the 60-day injured list as he comes back from a left lat strain and isn't eligible for activation until late May.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Not yet throwing

Hall (lat) said Friday he hopes to be cleared to start playing catch next week, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Hall suffering a lat strain earlier in February and appears to be nearing the end of his shutdown period. The left-hander will need to resume throwing soon to have a chance of being fully built up by Opening Day. Any additional delays could mean Hall begins the campaign on the IL.
