Dane Myers was limited to 106 games due to two IL stints for a strained right oblique, then missed the final week after cutting his knee while running into a chain-link outfield fence. As has been true throughout his career, he was far more effective against left-handed pitching, posting a .778 OPS compared to a .532 mark versus righties. Overall production dipped from the previous season, despite a 10-point improvement in his strikeout rate and an uptick in exit velocity. His expected batting average was higher than the year before, while his expected slugging percentage was nearly identical. Defense remains Myers' main asset, highlighted by 97th-percentile arm strength. As the Marlins reshape their outfield, Myers projects as a defensive replacement or right-handed platoon option. That role limits his mixed-league appeal, though he can still provide value in NL-only formats if his defense keeps him in the lineup.

He entered the game in the ninth inning as a defensive substitution and stuck around after Emilio Pagan blew the save. Myers has come off the bench in two straight games to begin the year, having served as a pinch hitter for Will Benson in the Reds' Opening Day loss.
