Myers is currently on the injured list after slamming into the wall while making a running catch a week ago. Myers' left shoulder absorbed the brunt of a collision with a fence while making a spectacular catch in center field. Cincinnati manager Terry Francona noted after the game that Myers was in a significant amount of pain, so the team sent him to the hospital to get checked out. Francona added that initial X-rays on Myers returned negative, but the outfielder is expected to undergo further testing. The club should have an update on Myers' status Tuesday, but even if he avoided a major injury, he seems likely to require a stint on the injured list.
