Diamondbacks' Kade Strowd: Dealt to D-backs
The Orioles traded Strowd, Wellington Aracena and Jose Mejia to the Diamondbacks on Thursday in exchange for Blaze Alexander, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Strowd made a strong impression during his first taste of MLB action in 2025, turning in a 1.71 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across 26.1 innings for the Orioles. Now with the Diamondbacks, the 28-year-old righty has a good chance to open the regular season in an Arizona bullpen that will likely be without A.J. Puk (elbow) and Justin Martinez (elbow) for most of the year.

Orioles' Kade Strowd: Wraps up year with scoreless outing
Strowd threw one-third of an inning in relief Sunday against the Yankees.
After the Orioles began a fire sale ahead of the July trade deadline, Strowd joined the major-league bullpen and gave Baltimore some quality work to close out the year. Through 26.1 innings, the right-hander posted a 1.71 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB with five holds. It remains to be seen if the club will bring Strowd back for 2026, but he certainly made a good impression down the stretch.

Orioles' Kade Strowd: Works scoreless outing Sunday
Strowd threw 1.2 scoreless innings of relief Sunday against the Giants, allowing one hit and one walk with one strikeout.
The rookie right-hander continues to be an effective member of Baltimore's new-look bullpen. Through 17 innings, Strowd has overcome a concerning 9:8 K:BB to produce a strong 1.59 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. Strowd has no holds or save chances in 2025, so he'll likely need to miss more bats and cut down on the walks in order to work his way up the pecking order.
