Nationals' Rafael Ramirez: Dealt to Washington

The Nationals acquired Ramirez, infielder Jose Tena and left-hander Alex Clemmey from the Guardians on Monday in exchange for outfielder Lane Thomas, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. Ramirez has spent the 2024 season at Single-A Lynchburg, with whom he slashed .182/.294/.316 with four home runs, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 55 contests. The infielder will likely stick at the Single-A level with his new organization, joining the Nationals' Carolina League affiliate in Fredericksburg.
