Diamondbacks' Jesus Valdez: Outrighted to Double-A
Arizona outrighted Valdez to Double-A Amarillo on Sunday.
Valdez will remain with Arizona's organization after clearing waivers, but he will now drop down a level in the minor-league system. The 28-year-old had his contract selected by the Diamondbacks to serve as the team's 27th man during the squad's Mexico City Series against the Padres in late April, but he failed to appear in a contest before being optioned to Triple-A Reno.

Diamondbacks' Jesus Valdez: Optioned to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned Valdez to Triple-A Reno on Monday.
Valdez served as the 27th man during the Mexico City Series versus the Padres over the weekend, but he did not make an appearance. The 28-year-old has hit only .211/.375/.263 in limited time between Double-A Amarillo and Reno in 2026.

Diamondbacks' Jesus Valdez: Called up Sunday
The Diamondbacks selected Valdez's contract from Double-A Amarillo and appointed him the 27th man for Sunday's game against the Padres.
The two clubs get a 27th man for the Mexico City Series this weekend, which will allow Valdez to get his first taste of the big leagues. The 28-year-old had an .853 OPS in 23 games with Amarillo last year but struggled to a .634 OPS when up with Triple-A Reno.
