  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Tallies second steal

Carrigg went 2-for-3 with a double and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Twins. Carrigg recorded the Rockies' lone extra-base hit of the day, ripping a double in the eighth inning as part of a multi-hit effort. Known for his blazing speed, the center fielder also stole second base after reaching on a fielder's choice in the first frame, marking the rookie's second stolen base in three attempts. Since being called up June 9, Carrigg is slashing .268/.382/.518 with three homers, three doubles, a triple, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored across 17 games.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Lifts third homer Monday

Carrigg went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, an additional RBI and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Cubs. Carrigg was credited with driving in all four of his club's runs, as he drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning before cranking a three-run homer in the eighth frame to give the Rockies a lead they would ultimately squander. The early returns on the rookie have been positive, as he has gone 7-for-27 (.259) with three homers, a triple, eight RBI, six runs and three walks through seven games. Carrigg has yet to attempt a steal, though he's known for his activity on the basepaths after swiping 29 bags in 57 games with Triple-A Albuquerque prior to being promoted.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Records first big-league homer

Carrigg went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Cubs in a loss Thursday. Carrigg achieved a milestone in the fourth inning, when he cranked a 418-foot blast to right field for his first major-league long ball. The talented rookie has started three straight games since being called up Tuesday and has gone 3-for-11 with a triple, a walk and Thursday's homer. Carrigg has yet to attempt a steal, but he swiped 29 bags over 57 games for Triple-A Albuquerque before joining the big club, so that skill should eventually show up as well.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Strokes triple in MLB debut

Carrigg went 1-for-3 with a triple and a walk in Tuesday's 7-3 win against the Cubs. Carrigg was called up from Triple-A on Tuesday and started in center field while batting seventh. The 24-year-old flashed his speed in his big-league debut when he legged out a triple on a ball he hit down the right-field line. Carrigg could earn himself an everyday role if he hits well immediately, especially given that outfielders Jordan Beck (hamstring), Mickey Moniak (ankle), Brenton Doyle (oblique) and Tyler Freeman (concussion) are all currently on the injured list.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Called up to majors

The Rockies selected Carrigg's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday. Carrigg earned his first big-league promotion after slashing .338/.414/.529 with six home runs, 30 stolen bases and a 27:39 BB:K over 57 games with Albuquerque. Those numbers are inflated by his home park and the friendly offensive environment of the Pacific Coast League, but Carrigg has real fantasy upside with some pop and plenty of speed. The 24-year-old is worthy of being picked up in fantasy leagues in hopes that the Rockies put him in the lineup regularly.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Won't break camp with Colorado

The Rockies reassigned Carrigg to minor-league camp Thursday. Carrigg wasn't expected to seriously contend for a big-league roster spot this spring, though he has impressed during the exhibition slate with a .387/.394/.645 slash line, four doubles, two triples, six RBI and a stolen base over 13 contests. He'll likely open the season at Triple-A, but Carrigg could make his MLB debut at some point during the campaign.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Lands spring training invite

The Rockies extended Carrigg a non-roster invite to spring training, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports. Carigg slashed just .237/.317/.395 with Double-A Hartford in 2025 but was able to notch a .754 OPS to close out the last 24 games of the season. The center fielder showed off his glove throughout the season and also recorded 46 stolen bases to show his running ability. The 23-year-old is likely to open the season at Triple-A Albuquerque but could make his MLB debut at some point in 2026.

  • Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Suspended at Double-A

Carrigg was suspended on Sept. 2 at Double-A Hartford after getting ejected from an Aug. 31 game against Portland. Carrigg slammed his helmet after getting called out on an attempted steal of third base and was ejected and then made a scene in between innings arguing with the umpire who ejected him. It's unclear how many games he will miss, but Hartford's season wraps up Sept. 14. Carrigg's hit tool looked stronger a year ago, as his strikeout rate jumped from 19 percent at High-A to 27.8 percent at Double-A while his batting average dipped from .280 to .234. He is an excellent athlete and has logged 40-plus steals in back-to-back seasons while showcasing average pull-side power. A 107 wRC+ is a middling mark for a 23-year-old at Double-A, but if Carrigg can find his way into a regular role for the Rockies in a year or two, his speed will make him valuable in fantasy, at least in his home games.
