  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Secures first career save

Morris struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his first career save in a 4-1 win over the Astros. The rookie right-hander tossed his hat into the ring for the vacant Twins closing job with an impressive effort, as he needed just 10 pitches (eight strikes) to dispatch the heart of Houston's order, including Yordan Alvarez and Christian Walker. Morris topped out at 97.4 mph with his fastball, and through 9.2 innings in May he's posted a 1.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB while also collecting a win and two holds in eight appearances.

  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Short work in spot start

Morris tossed six pitches in a scoreless first inning during the Twins' 5-4 win over the Guardians on Sunday. It was a bullpen day for the Twins on Sunday, with Morris serving as the opener despite tossing 11 pitches in two-thirds of a frame during Saturday's 2-1 extra-innings win. He needed just six pitches to get through the first frame Sunday and was replaced by Kendry Rojas for the second inning. Morris sports a 4.67 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB across 17.1 innings this season.

  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Dispatched to minors

The Twins optioned Morris to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday. Morris was one of nine players sent out of big-league camp in the Twins' latest round of roster cuts. Minnesota added the 24-year-old righty to the 40-man roster this offseason after he accrued a 4.09 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 89:28 K:BB across 94.2 innings with St. Paul in 2025. Morris will slot into a rotation spot with St. Paul to begin the upcoming season and could be in line to make his MLB debut at some point later this summer.

  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Receives 40-man spot

The Twins selected Morris' contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday. Morris spent the entirety of 2025 at St. Paul, where he turned in a 4.09 ERA and 1.34 WHIP alongside an 89:28 K:BB over 94.2 innings. His addition to the 40-man roster will grant him protection from the Rule 5 Draft in December and improve his chances of winning a spot in Minnesota's rotation during spring training.

  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Makes return from IL

Morris (forearm) struck out three and issued one walk while allowing no hits over two shutout innings Saturday after being reinstated from Triple-A St. Paul's 7-day injured list. Morris made his first appearance for St. Paul since June 19 after completing his recovery from a right forearm strain. The 23-year-old holds a 4.27 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB in 65.1 innings over his 14 starts with the Triple-A club this season.

  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Raised profile at Triple-A

Morris could be the top candidate to be called up if the Twins have another opening in the rotation, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports. Morris' numbers at Triple-A St. Paul aren't overly impressive (3.86 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, 12.3 K-BB%), but the Twins lack a clear standout pitcher in the minors who would leapfrog the 23-year-old right-hander if a rotation spots open up. With recent injuries to Pablo Lopez (shoulder) and Zebby Matthews (shoulder), the Twins have already plugged David Festa and Simeon Woods Richardson into the rotation.

  • Twins' Andrew Morris: Promoted to Triple-A

Morris gave up one earned run over six innings with two strikeouts and one walk Tuesday for St. Paul after being promoted to Triple-A. Morris had a 1.90 ERA in 61.2 innings with a 63:14 K:BB at Double-A Wichita after being promoted from High-A in May. A strong final month at Triple-A could have him contending for a spot in the majors next spring.
