  • Tigers' Zyhir Hope: Off to slow start with new organization

Since joining the Detroit organization in the trade that sent Tarik Skubal to the Dodgers, Hope is slashing just .149/.241/.319 with 17 strikeouts in 12 games for Double-A Erie. Hope was considered the best part of the return for Skubal, and at just 21 years old, he still has a bright future with his new organization. However, the young outfielder has scuffled in the early going with the Sea Wolves. Hope performed much better for Double-A Tulsa before the trade, posting a .293/.369/.530 slash line with 23 home runs and 18 stolen bases across 94 contests, so he has shown he can produce at this level. Better days should be ahead for the top prospect.

  • Dodgers' Zyhir Hope: Invited to big-league camp

Hope was invited to major-league spring training, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports. Hope will open spring training with the big-league club for a second straight season. As one of LA's top prospects, he spent 121 games at High-A Great Lakes a season ago but finished out the 2025 campaign at Double-A Tulsa (six games). It would make sense for the 21-year-old to open the 2026 season at Double-A after gaining valuable experience against big-league arms to start camp.

  • Dodgers' Zyhir Hope: Advancing to Double-A

The Dodgers promoted Hope from High-A Great Lakes to Double-A Tulsa on Monday, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports. Hope will be joined in Tulsa by one of the Dodgers' other top prospects in outfielder Josue De Paula, who will also get bumped up from High-A. Over 524 plate appearances this season with Great Lakes, the 20-year-old Hope slashed .264/.377/.428 with 13 home runs, 26 stolen bases, a 14.9 percent walk rate and a 26.5 percent strikeout rate.

  • Dodgers' Zyhir Hope: Sent to minor-league camp

Hope was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Dodgers on Sunday. Hope went 4-for-19 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored and a walk while striking out six times over 10 games during spring training. The 20-year-old has yet to play at a level higher than Single-A, and he'll look to continue his ascent through the minors with the Dodgers organization in 2025.

  • Dodgers' Zyhir Hope: Impressing early in camp

Hope went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Saturday's Cactus League loss to Kansas City. Hope belted a solo shot to the opposite field in the sixth inning. The power display came two days after the 19-year-old made a pair of impressive catches in the outfield in the Dodgers' spring opener. Hope isn't a candidate to break camp with the big club, but he's among the team's top prospects after posting a .905 OPS with nine home runs and eight stolen bases over 54 games at the Single-A level last season.

  • Dodgers' Zyhir Hope: Healthy again at Single-A

Single-A Rancho Cucamonga reinstated Hope (shoulder) from the 7-day injured list Friday. He's gone 5-for-12 with a home run, a walk, a stolen base, five RBI and three runs in three games since returning to action. Hope had been on the shelf since April 30 with a shoulder injury. The 19-year-old outfielder received the green light to rejoin Rancho Cucamonga last weekend after he completed a seven-game rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, during which he slashed .316/.458/.421.
