Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Optioned to St. Paul
The Twins optioned Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.
With Carlos Correa (heel) returning from the injured list, Keirsey will be squeezed back to the minors in order to clear space on Minnesota's active roster. The 27-year-old outfielder went 1-for-10 during his time in the big leagues and only figures to return this season if the Twins' outfield depth is tested during the final few weeks.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Headed back to Triple-A
The Twins will option Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Keirsey managed to appear in four games during his first career stint in the majors, during which he went 1-for-10 with a strikeout and an HBP. He'll be sent back to the minors to clear space for Carlos Correa (heel), who is due to return from the injured list Saturday.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Receives first MLB promotion
The Twins selected Keirsey's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Keirsey, 27, has slashed .292/.363/.477 with 14 homers and 36 stolen bases with St. Paul this season. Speed and center field defense are his best assets, and it's possible Keirsey could see some action in center with Byron Buxton's hip injury lingering. He will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

Twins' DaShawn Keirsey: Homers in return from calf injury
Keirsey (calf) went 2-for-4 with a home run Saturday for Triple-A St. Paul in his first game since returning from a calf injury, Theodor Tollefson of TwinsDaily.com reports.
He had been out since May 26 with the calf injury. The 2018 fourth-round draft pick is not seen as a much of prospect at age 27, but he's hitting an impressive .314 with a .966 OPS and nine home runs in 47 games.

Keirsey played three games on a minor-league rehab assignment with the Twins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. He's hitting .183 with a .667 OPS at Cedar Rapids in 36 games.

Keirsey (oblique) began a rehab assignment Tuesday with the Twins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate and went 1-for-3 with two runs in his first game with the team.
Keirsey has been on the 7-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids since Aug. 12 with a right oblique strain. He's not expected to require more than a handful of games in the FCL to get his timing back at the plate before he rejoins Cedar Rapids.

Keirsey has been placed on the seven-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids, retroactive to August 11, with a right oblique strain.
After returning from a left hamstring strain in June, Keirsey tallied 17 hits over 31 appearances including the first three home runs of his professional career. Keirsey, a fourth-round pick by the Twins out of Utah in 2018, is hitting .183 with a .667 OPS in 36 games.
