  • Tigers' Dillon Paulson: Traded to Tigers

The Tigers acquired Paulson from the Rays in exchange for cash considerations Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. It's the second time he's been traded, as Paulson also went from the Dodgers to the Rays back in December of 2020 as part of a three-team deal which sent Jose Alvarado to the Phillies. The 25-year-old Paulson hasn't played much the last two seasons due to an ACL tear.

  • Rays' Dillon Paulson: Active at High-A

Double-A Montgomery reinstated Paulson (knee) from its injured list and assigned him to High-A Bowling Green on Tuesday. He started at first base and went 0-for-1 with a walk and an RBI in a 3-1 win over Rome. Paulson was making his 2022 full-season debut Tuesday, after a torn ACL sustained last May kept him out of commission for just over 14 months. He began a rehab assignment Aug. 1 in the rookie-level Florida Complex League and went 8-for-24 with an 8:4 BB:K in nine games before being cleared to join Bowling Green.

  • Rays' Dillon Paulson: Suffers torn ACL

Paulson recently underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Paulson was traded from the Dodgers to the Rays in late December, and he began the year with Double-A Montgomery. The 23-year-old slashed .340/.373/.396 with 13 RBI and five runs this season. It's not yet clear whether he'll be ready for the start of spring training in 2022.
