The Giants optioned Morgan to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The Giants promoted Morgan from Triple-A on Monday once Daniel Susac (knee) landed on the injured list, but the former's time with the big club will come to an end after just one day to make room for Andrew Knizner. Morgan has slashed .241/.323/.325 across 96 plate appearances since moving to Triple-A in May and is likely to remain there for the remainder of the season.

The Giants selected Morgan's contract from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Astros, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Morgan is hitting .241 with one home run, 14 RBI and 13 runs over 28 games this season at Triple-A Sacramento and will get a chance to see his first major-league action after being promoted. He's in line to serve as the backup catcher Monday after Daniel Susac was diagnosed with a fractured left patella.
