The Marlins outrighted Winkler to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday. Winkler will remain in the Marlins' organization, but he'll be removed from the 40-man roster. The 27-year-old infielder made 14 appearances with Miami in 2025, going 4-for-16 with two doubles, two runs scored and a stolen base.

  • Marlins' Jack Winkler: Returned to minors

The Marlins optioned Winkler to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday. Winkler appeared in three games since his promotion Sept. 5, going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. He'll head back to the minors to make room for the returns of Connor Norby (quadriceps), Graham Pauley (oblique) and Dane Myers (oblique) from the injured list and Tyler Phillips (personal) from the paternity list.

  • Marlins' Jack Winkler: Back in majors

The Marlins selected Winkler's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. Miami designated Winkler for assignment last month, but he's back on the 40-man roster. He logged 12 plate appearances for the Marlins earlier this season and slashed .167/.167/.333 with one stolen base and a 0:4 BB:K.

  • Marlins' Jack Winkler: Scrubbed from 40-man roster

The Marlins designated Winkler for assignment Monday. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Joey Wiemer, who was claimed off waivers. Winkler has gone 2-for-12 at the plate during a couple brief stints at the big-league level this season and stands a good chance of clearing waivers and remaining in the organization.

  • Marlins' Jack Winkler: Optioned to Triple-A

The Marlins optioned Winkler to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday. Winkler was with the big club for a month but made just four starts, going 1-for-11 at the dish. He's clearing out to make room on the roster for Derek Hill's (wrist) return.

  • Marlins' Jack Winkler: Promotion incoming

Winkler is expected to be called up from Triple-A Jacksonville by the Marlins on Friday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports. Winkler has enjoyed a productive start to the season with Jacksonville and has a .275/.331/.423 slash line with five homers and 15 steals in 41 games. The 26-year-old doesn't seem to have a path to regular playing time, though his ability to play all over the infield could help him see the field as a utility player.
