Bazzana went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Cleveland's 13-4 win over Minnesota on Monday.
Bazzana was responsible for one of the Guardians' six home runs off Joe Ryan on Monday, with the latter's taking place in the third inning to extend Cleveland's lead to 6-2. Bazzana has gone yard in two of his last three games and is up to nine home runs on the season. He has a .756 OPS with 13 steals and 32 RBI across 300 plate appearances this season.

Bazzana got the Guardians on the board quickly, leading off the first inning with a walk, a stolen base and then scoring on a Brayan Rocchio single. The Aussie later scored after getting hit by a pitch. The stolen base was his 13th of the season but first in 17 contests. Bazzana, who will play in Tuesday's All-Star Game, limps into the break, having gone 10-for-69 (.145) with one steal, four RBI, three doubles and six runs scored over his last 17 games.

Bazzana, who was given a day off Wednesday amid a 2-for-29 stretch, logged a second consecutive multi-hit game Friday. He's 4-for-8 with two walks, two RBI and two runs scored since getting a breather. While this two-game response is encouraging, the rookie has more to do to prove that he's adjusted to the adjustments of MLB pitching. Bazzana didn't take long to set the tone for his big performance, belting the first pitch of the game from Spencer Arrighetti over the outfield wall for a home run. The talented rookie added a three-run blast in the fifth inning to notch the first multi-homer game of his career. Bazzana also logged four hits for the first time as a big leaguer and racked up a career-best five RBI. He had been batting just .182 through 15 games in June entering Saturday, but Bazzana has nonetheless had a strong beginning to his major-league career, slashing .274/.369/.476 with seven homers, 11 doubles, 23 RBI, 22 runs and 11 stolen bases through 46 contests.

Bazzana has thrived since being moved to leadoff, so it was strange to see him batting fourth. The rookie made his major-league debut as a leadoff hitter, a role he handled frequently in the minors. It was a tough assignment against Zack Wheeler, who fired six scoreless innings, but Bazzana was able to connect for a leadoff double in the ninth inning off closer Jhoan Duran. Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt recently removed Steven Kwan from the leadoff spot and told Tim Stebbins of MLB.com that it felt like the right time to give that opportunity to Bazzana. Since his promotion, he's sporting a .385 OBP with seven steals, and Bazzana profiles as someone that can set the table consistently for Jose Ramirez.
