Orioles' Vance Honeycutt: Advancing to Double-A
The Orioles promoted Honeycutt from High-A Frederick to Double-A Chesapeake on Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Honeycutt put his speed on display at Frederick with 28 stolen bases and also slugged 10 home runs in 65 games, but he hit just .182 and struck out a 42.8 percent clip over 275 plate appearances. Though he'll move up to Double-A, Honeycutt's poor plate skills cast doubt on his ability to find success in the higher levels of the minors.

Orioles' Vance Honeycutt: Out with oblique strain
Honeycutt was placed on High-A Frederick's 7-day injured list Tuesday due to a left oblique strain, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
It's unclear when exactly Honeycutt sustained the injury, but he's been slumping hard with a .095 average (4-for-42) and 45.3 percent strikeout rate over his past 12 games. The 23-year-old will be on the shelf for at least the next week, but a longer absence wouldn't be surprising given the nature of the injury.

Orioles' Vance Honeycutt: Back in action
Honeycutt (quadriceps) returned to High-A Frederick's lineup Tuesday.
After missing some time with left quadriceps tightness, Honeycutt has gone 1-for-5 with a double, a walk and two RBI over two games since returning to action. The 23-year-old outfielder took the Grapefruit League by storm earlier this year, homering in each of his first four at-bats during spring training with the Orioles, but he's slashing just .200/.305/.407 with eight homers, seven doubles, 25 RBI and 18 stolen bases over 175 plate appearances at the High-A level.

Honeycutt was taken out of the game before he was able to log an at-bat. The 23-year-old owns a .200 average with eight home runs, 23 RBI, 30 runs scored and 18 stolen bases over 145 at-bats so far this season. It's unclear how long he may be sidelined.

Orioles' Vance Honeycutt: Exits early Sunday
Honeycutt left Sunday's contest with High-A Frederick early with left thumb discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Honeycutt finished his day having gone 0-for-1 with a walk and a strikeout, and he is now batting .188 with four home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 67 at-bats in 18 games at High-A this year. It's unclear what exactly the outfielder's injury is, but he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Orioles' Vance Honeycutt: Power surge in Grapefruit League
Honeycutt went 1-for-1 with a solo home run during Wednesday's Grapefruit League against Houston.
The 22-year-old center fielder is taking the Grapefruit League by storm -- he's now gone yard in each of his four at-bats so far this spring. Honeycutt was a first-round pick during the 2024 MLB Draft, and he's looking to put a discouraging 2025 campaign in the rear-view mirror as he continues his development in the minor leagues in 2026. Last season with High-A Aberdeen, Honeycutt batted just .171 with just five homers, 12 doubles and 24 RBI over 374 at-bats.
