  • Dodgers' Ben Casparius: Sent back to Triple-A

The Dodgers optioned Casparius to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Casparius was sent back to Triple-A one day after making his MLB debut in the Dodgers' 8-6 victory over the Diamondbacks. He tossed a scoreless inning of relief and scooped up the win, but he'll likely move back into a starting role as he rejoins Oklahoma City.

  • Dodgers' Ben Casparius: Returns to Los Angeles

The Dodgers recalled Casparius from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

With Clayton Kershaw (toe) headed for the injured list, the Dodgers will call upon Casparius to fill the roster spot. The 25-year-old righty has turned in a 3.30 ERA and 1.17 WHIP through 60 innings over 14 appearances (13 starts) at Triple-A and will likely be used out of the bullpen while in Los Angeles, though it's also possible that he makes a spot start in Kershaw's place.

  • Dodgers' Ben Casparius: Sent back to Triple-A

The Dodgers optioned Casparius to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

The return of Blake Treinen (hip) from the IL will send Casparius back to the minor leagues after just three days in the majors. The 25-year-old righty didn't appear in a game during his stint with the Dodgers, though he could still be a depth option down the stretch after posting a 3.54 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through 56 frames with Oklahoma City.

  • Dodgers' Ben Casparius: Gets first big-league call-up

The Dodgers selected Casparius' contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Los Angeles designated right-hander Brent Honeywell for assignment in a corresponding move to clear room on the 40-man roster and the 26-man active roster for Casparius. After getting moved up from Double-A Tulsa to Oklahoma City in May, Casparius made 13 starts at the Triple-A level, logging a 3.54 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 61:29 K:BB across 56 innings. The 25-year-old right-hander will likely operate as a long reliever for the Dodgers, though he could get a look in the rotation if incumbent No. 5 starter Bobby Miller continues to struggle while filling in for the injured Tyler Glasnow (elbow).
