White Sox's Caleb Bonemer: Will be used in center field this week
Bonemer will get some starts in center field later this week with Double-A Birmingham, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
To this point in his pro career, Bonemer has played only shortstop and third base. However, with Colson Montgomery and Miguel Vargas holding down the left side of the infield for the White Sox, Bonemer will get some exposure to the outfield. The 20-year-old has slashed .249/.381/.556 with 33 home runs and 16 stolen bases between Birmingham and High-A Winston-Salem this season.

White Sox's Caleb Bonemer: Promoted to Double-A
Bonemer was promoted to Double-A Birmingham on Sunday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Bonemer will move up a level in Chicago's minor-league farm system, joining the Double-A squad after posting a .238 average with 18 home runs, 43 RBI, 52 runs and 10 stolen bases over 223 at-bats in 61 games with High-A Winston-Salem this year. The 20-year-old is considered to be the top overall prospect for the White Sox, and he'll look to build off of his impressive power numbers at the next level.

White Sox's Caleb Bonemer: Hitting for impact at High-A
Bonemer is slashing .303/.385/.667 with two home runs and an 11:4 K:BB in nine games for High-A Winston-Salem.
The 20-year-old infielder now has four home runs in 20 career games at High-A, dating back to last year. Bonemer's been whiffing more than is typical (17.1 SwStr%), but he should regress to his prior norms as the sample gets bigger before potentially getting a midseason promotion to Double-A. Bonemer's .364 ISO ranks third in the pitcher-friendly Sally League.

White Sox's Caleb Bonemer: Elevated to High-A
The White Sox promoted Bonemer from Single-A Kannapolis to HIgh-A Winston-Salem on Sunday, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Bonemer will make the jump to High-A after slashing .281/.400/.458 with 10 home runs and 27 stolen bases in 96 games with Kannapolis. The No. 43 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Bonemer is regarded as one of the White Sox's top lower-level prospects and could be on track to make his big-league debut by 2027 if he keeps mashing as he moves up the minor-league ladder.
