  • Rockies' Brody Brecht: Shelved at High-A

    High-A Spokane placed Brecht on the 7-day injured list May 23 with a right shoulder injury, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports. Pontes reports Brecht is due back as early as late July, although he hasn't begun a rehab assignment yet. Brecht has big stuff, but his fantasy appeal is limited due to the fact he's a Rockies pitching prospect. The 23-year-old righty logged a 5.23 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 31:15 K:BB in 20.2 innings prior to the injury.
