  • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Gets little support in no-decision

Kremer allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Boston on Wednesday.

Kremer didn't get much support in this one -- the first run he gave up scored on a throwing error, and the Orioles managed just one run on offense while he was in the game. However, the right-hander kept his team in the contest, tossing seven strong innings while throwing 70 of 103 pitches for strikes. This was the first time Kremer completed seven frames since April 30, and the quality start was his fifth in his past six outings. He's posted a 2.62 ERA with a 32:13 K:BB during that span.

  • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Cleared for Friday's start

Kremer (forearm) is listed as the probable pitcher for Friday's game against the Rays, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Kremer took a line drive off of his forearm in his start Saturday against the Rockies. It was originally expected that he would miss a turn through the rotation, but he's since thrown a bullpen session and will now be ready to go to open the Orioles' series against the Rays. Given that it's been only six days since Kremer has pitched, he should be able to handle a normal workload.

Kremer has progressed more quickly than expected after exiting his last start over the weekend after a liner hit his right forearm. • Orioles' Dean Kremer: Unlikely for next start

Kremer (forearm) played catch Tuesday but is unlikely to make his next scheduled start, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.

Kremer had to be removed from his last outing Saturday in Colorado after being struck on the right forearm by a liner. The swelling has subsided enough to allow Kremer to throw, but it sounds like he will not be ready for his next turn Friday against the Rays. The Orioles have an off day Thursday, so they could push everyone up a day. Giving a spot start to Cole Irvin or another pitcher is also an option.

Kremer was diagnosed with right forearm contusion after he was removed from his start in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Rockies, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports. He took a no-decision after striking out three over 3.1 innings while allowing four earned runs on six hits and one walk.

Kremer was hit by a line drive off the bat of Jordan Beck in the fourth inning. He experienced significant swelling in his right forearm after leaving the game, but the subsequent X-rays did not show a fracture. He'll undergo further testing Sunday, and how his arm responds over the next couple of days will determine whether he will be able to make his next start.
