Player Outlook
JoJo Parker's approval rating among scouts is as high as any position player in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft. He doesn't have any 60s on his scouting report, but he has a bunch of 50s and 55s, with his hit and power tools leading the way. A twin whose brother Jacob is heading to Mississippi State, JoJo is a lefty hitter who measures in at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds. He has an above-average arm but lacks the quick-twitch actions and foot speed of a no-doubt shortstop, so the expectation should be that Parker ends up a power-hitting third baseman who is a slight positive in average and OBP. It's hard to confidently project any prep prospect's future stolen-base potential, as Aidan Miller showed us in 2025, but scouts grade Parker as an average runner. The fact Parker didn't officially debut after the Jays selected him eighth overall adds a bit of mystery to the equation.
