  • Rays' Caden Bodine: Promoted to Double-A

    Bodine has been promoted from High-A Bowling Green to Double-A Montgomery, Evan Closky of 10 Tampa Bay News reports. Bodine began the season at Single-A Charleston, and between two stops he's collected a .360/.422/.545 batting line with nine home runs and a 25:16 BB:K over 65 games. The 22-year-old's .360 batting average and 5.3 percent strikeout rate lead all minor leaguers. Bodine was taken in the first round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft by the Orioles before being traded to the Rays over the offseason in the Shane Baz deal.

  • Rays' Caden Bodine: Dealt to Tampa Bay

    The Rays acquired Bodine, Slater de Brun, Michael Forret and Austin Overn from the Orioles in exchange for Shane Baz on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. The 22-year-old Bodine was selected 30th overall during the 2025 First-Year Player Draft by Baltimore and will now change organizations after just one professional season. He had a .757 OPS in 11 games for Single-A Delmarva in 2025 and should begin 2026 in the lower minors for Tampa Bay.

  • Orioles' Caden Bodine: Out with bruised hand

    Single-A Delmarva placed Bodine on the 7-day injured list Saturday due to a bruised left hand, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. While Bodine's injury isn't significant, it will spell an end to his first professional season. The No. 30 overall selection in June's First-Year Player Draft, Bodine slashed .326/.408/.349 over 49 plate appearances for Delmarva.
