    The Mets optioned Ross to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday. Ross ascended through the Mets' farm system quickly last season, posting a 2.21 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over 53 innings during his journey from High-A to Triple-A. The 25-year-old righty will officially report back to Syracuse to begin the new season, but he may not be far away from making his MLB debut.
