Braves' Duncan Davitt: Shipped to Atlanta
Atlanta acquired Davitt from the White Sox on Monday in exchange for catcher Joey Bart, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
After making his second appearance of the season with the White Sox over the weekend, Davitt was designated for assignment earlier Monday when the team needed to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old righty will reclaim a 40-man spot in Atlanta and is likely to begin his time in the organization at Triple-A Gwinnett. Davitt has spent most of the 2026 campaign with Chicago's Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte, turning in a 6.22 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 64:25 K:BB across 59.1 innings.

The White Sox designated Davitt for assignment Monday.

The White Sox optioned Davitt to Triple-A Charlotte after Sunday's 9-1 win over the Rays.
Davitt was called up ahead of Sunday's contest and tossed an inning of relief, allowing one run on two hits while striking out one. The right-hander is expected to be replaced on the 26-man active roster by the newly acquired Luis Castillo, who is expected to make his White Sox debut during the team's upcoming series versus the Red Sox.

Davitt will join the big club for the first time in his career with Chris Murphy (elbow) bound for the injured list and Tyler Schweitzer headed back to the minors. The 26-year-old Davitt hasn't gotten off to a fantastic start this year, giving up seven earned runs over eight innings across his first two outings at Charlotte.
