  • Braves' Tyler Uberstine: Heading to Atlanta

Atlanta acquired Uberstine from Boston on Monday in exchange for outfielder Eli White, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. The 27-year-old made his MLB debut in a 2.2-inning relief appearance with the Red Sox on April 5 but has otherwise spent the entire season in the minors. Over 32 innings at Triple-A Worcester, the right-hander posted a 2.81 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 37:11 K:BB. He'll likely join the bullpen at Triple-A Gwinnett as he moves on to a new organization.

  • Red Sox's Tyler Uberstine: Back from IL

Triple-A Worcester reinstated Uberstine (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Sunday. Uberstine rejoins Worcester after he had been on the shelf for two months due to a sore right shoulder. The 27-year-old was activated after turning in a 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB in seven innings over four rehab appearances for High-A Greenville.

  • Red Sox's Tyler Uberstine: To 7-day IL with shoulder soreness

Uberstine was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Worcester on Friday with right shoulder soreness, Chris Henrique of BostonSportsJournal.com reports. Uberstine made his major-league debut earlier this month, appearing in one game for the Red Sox back on April 5 against the Padres. He allowed one run on three hits and one walk with two strikeouts across 2.2 innings. Uberstine was sent back to Worcester the following day.

  • Red Sox's Tyler Uberstine: Dealt loss in MLB debut

Uberstine (0-1) was the pitcher of record in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Padres after allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out two over 2.2 innings of relief. Uberstine made his MLB debut and pitched two scoreless innings before Jackson Merrill drove a fastball over the fence to lead off the eighth. The right-hander also walked a batter and gave up a double later in the frame. Overall, Uberstine threw the ball well and filled up the zone (45 pitches, 34 strikes), but the mistake pitch to Merrill proved to be costly. Uberstine, who had been used as a starter in the minor leagues, is expected to provide length out of the bullpen while he's up in the majors.
