Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant is showing no mercy against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Rookie Anthony Brown, starting in place of Kobe Bryant, initially guarded him. In the first quarter, Durant just about outscored the entire Lakers team -- he went 5-for-7 for 14 points, and Los Angeles went 7-for-20 for 15 points.
Here's what happened when Lakers forward Julius Randle tried to guard Durant:
Durant is just having fun here. He knew Randle had no chance staying with him, so he hit the 21-year-old with a bunch of crossovers. Durant's ballhandling is obviously remarkable for someone his height, as is the fact that he contorted and finished so easily.
Thanks to Durant's brilliance, Oklahoma City built a 20-point lead in the opening frame.
