  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Swats three shots Wednesday

Poeltl contributed eight points (4-7 FG), five rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 122-111 loss to the Pelicans. Poeltl had minimal production offensively in his return from a one-game absence due to an illness, but he contributed defensively with a game-high three blocks that also tied a season high. Since returning from an extended absence due to a back strain, Poeltl has averaged 10.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals over 26.1 minutes per game.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Good to go Wednesday

Poeltl (illness) is available for Wednesday's game against New Orleans, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. Poeltl missed Tuesday's contest due to illness, but he'll be back in action Wednesday. Expect Poeltl to reclaim the starting center spot from Sandro Mamukelashvili. In his last five appearances, Poeltl is averaging 13.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 steals over 28.6 minutes.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Questionable for Wednesday

Poeltl (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Poeltl remains day-to-day after missing the front end of this back-to-back set. If Poeltl is unable to give it a go, Sandro Mamukelashvili is likely to see another sizable workload for the Raptors, as Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) remains sidelined.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Won't play Tuesday

Poeltl is out for Tuesday's game against the Rockets with an illness, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl faces a short turnaround if he hopes to suit up for Wednesday's matchup against the Pelicans. With Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) also sidelined, Sandro Mamukelashvili should get the spot start at center Tuesday and is worth streaming in most fantasy leagues.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Iffy for Tuesday

Poeltl is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets due to illness. Poeltl's availability for Tuesday is in jeopardy after he turned in a solid double-double Sunday against Dallas. The team should have a better idea of his availability closer to tipoff. Sandro Mamukelashvili would be in line for the start at center if Poeltl can't go.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Strong double-double in win

Poeltl finished with 16 points (8-9 FG), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Sunday's 122-92 win over the Mavericks. Poeltl is seemingly turning a corner with his back issue and is trending up in fantasy hoops. Over his last five games, he's been a second-round value in nine-category leagues with averages of 13.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocks in 28.8 minutes per contest.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Plays well in loss

Poeltl racked up nine points (4-5 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 29 minutes during Thursday's 115-107 loss to the Timberwolves. This was a solid line for Poeltl as he continues to put his lingering back issue behind him. Over his last five games, he's producing third-round value in nine-category formats with averages of 11.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks in 27.8 minutes per contest.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Strong two-way performance

Poeltl chipped in 18 points (7-7 FG, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 26 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 134-125 victory over Washington. Poeltl had arguably his best overall performance of the season, logging at least 26 minutes for the second straight game. The big man has dealt with back issues throughout the campaign, though he finally appears to be healthy. After being dropped in many leagues, and rightfully so, managers should check to see if he is somehow available. While the back could flare up again at any point, now is as good a time as ever to take a chance on a player who has been a proven top-70 asset in the past.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Starting at center

Poeltl will start Saturday's game against the Wizards, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl is set to anchor the frontcourt Sunday after logging 28 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs -- his highest workload since returning from a 24-game absence due to a back strain. The veteran center finished that contest with 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, showing no ill effects from the injury that required specialized treatment in January.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Available to play

Poeltl (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. Poeltl was held out for the front end of this back-to-back set for injury maintenance. With Poeltl back in the lineup, Collin Murray-Boyles will likely shift to the bench unless Scottie Barnes (quadriceps) is unable to play.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Sitting out Tuesday

Poeltl (back) is out for Tuesday's game against the Thunder. With Tuesday being the first half of a back-to-back, the Raptors are holding Poeltl out for injury management. Collin Murray-Boyles and Sandro Mamukelashvili are expected to split the center minutes evenly in the absence of Poeltl.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Starting Sunday

Poeltl will start Sunday in Milwaukee. Poeltl came off the bench in Thursday's win over the Bulls, but he'll return to his starting role Sunday, and it'll be interesting to see how many minutes he's played. Over the past two games, Poeltl has logged a total of just 36 minutes, and he hasn't provided any defensive statistics in either of those outings.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Only two points Thursday

Poeltl contributed two points (1-1 FG) and one assist in 16 minutes during Thursday's 110-101 win over Chicago. Poeltl was barely visible, scoring just two points in 16 minutes. It's been a disastrous season for Poeltl, having played just 23 games thus far, during which he has averaged 9.3 points and 7.3 rebounds. At this point, it may not be necessary to hold onto him outside of deeper fantasy formats. However, managers will want to keep a close eye on things in Toronto, just in case Poeltl is elevated back into the starting lineup, assuming his back injury continues to improve.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Coming off bench Thursday

Poeltl is not in the Raptors' starting lineup against the Bulls on Thursday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl missed 24 games spanning from late December to early February due to a back strain, but he was cleared to return for the Raptors' loss to the Pistons on Feb. 11, when he started and recorded nine points and six rebounds over 20 minutes. The veteran center will come off the bench for Thursday's contest while rookie first-rounder Collin Murray-Boyles enters the Raptors' starting five.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Quiet in return to lineup

Poeltl (back) finished with nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 113-95 loss to the Pistons. Seeing his first game action since Dec. 21, Poeltl was on a tight minutes restriction but didn't seem hampered by the back issues that had kept him sidelined for 24 consecutive games. The veteran center will get the All-Star break to rest up further, but he may need more time after that to ramp up before he'll be allowed to handle a full workload.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Available Wednesday

Poeltl (back/reconditioning) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pistons and will be on an unspecified minutes restriction, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. Poeltl hasn't played since Dec. 21 due to a lower-back strain but will return to action in Toronto's final game before the All-Star break. It's unclear how many minutes he will be limited to, but his return will leave fewer minutes available for the likes of Sandro Mamukelashvili and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca, Poeltl is part of the starting lineup Wednesday. Over 21 regular-season appearances thus far, Poeltl has averaged 9.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25.3 minutes per contest.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Iffy for Wednesday

Poeltl (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Detroit, per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca. Poeltl practiced Tuesday, and the Raptors are giving him a chance to return before the All-Star break. If the veteran center suits up for the first time since Dec. 21, the streaming appeal of both Sandro Mamukelashvili of Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) would likely take a big hit.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Remaining out Sunday

Poeltl (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Pacers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. While Poeltl won't play Sunday, he's reportedly "very close" to getting back to the court. Per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca, Poeltl went through a full practice Saturday, and at this stage, his main focus has been getting reconditioned after his back injury has kept him from playing since Dec. 21. Poeltl's next chance to play will come Wednesday versus the Pistons.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Chance to return Sunday

Poeltl (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl has been sidelined by a lower-back strain since Dec. 21, which has resulted in Sandro Mamukelashvili and rookie Collin Murray-Boyles stepping into larger roles for the Raptors. Poeltl drew the questionable tag for Sunday's contest after fully participating in Saturday's practice, but he would likely operate under a heavy minutes restriction if he's given the green light to return. The veteran center is averaging 9.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 25.3 minutes per game across 21 regular-season appearances thus far.

  • Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Could return before All-Star break

Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said Thursday that Poeltl (back) has been "reacting really well" to his recent on-court work, and the Raptors are hopeful he can return before the All-Star break, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Poeltl has already been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bulls, but if he's able to increase his workload in practice Saturday, he may have a chance at playing as soon as Sunday's game versus the Pacers or next Wednesday's game against the Pistons. Given that he's been out since Dec. 21 due to a lower-back strain, Poeltl is likely to have some restrictions once he's cleared to play again, but he may be worth grabbing in certain leagues if he's sitting on a waiver wire. Collin Murray-Boyles and Sandro Mamukelashvili will both see their respective fantasy values take a hit once Poeltl is back in the mix and fully up to speed.
