  • Magic's Jarron Cumberland: Lands camp deal with Orlando

Cumberland agreed to a training camp contract with the Magic on Wednesday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports. The Magic now own Cumberland's G League rights, so it's possible they'll waive him before training camp begins. Over 45 G League outings between the Osceola Magic and South Bay Lakers last season, he averaged 5.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 18.7 minutes per showing.

  • Lakers' Jarron Cumberland: Inks deal with LA

Cumberland signed a contract with the Lakers on Thursday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. Cumberland will be brought in to compete for a roster spot, though the team has yet to reveal the details of the contract. The Cincinnati product hasn't appeared in an NBA game since 2021 while with Portland, so he seems destined to end up in the G League prior to the start of the 2025-26 season.

  • Jarron Cumberland: Drops 21 points in win

Cumberland totaled 21 points (6-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists, three rebounds, four steals and a block in 36 minutes during Saturday's G League win over the Swarm. Cumberland was one of four players to top 20 points for the Blue Coats during Saturday's victory, and he matched his highest scoring total of the season. • Jarron Cumberland: Hits free agency

Cumberland will become a free agent after his 10-day contract expired Wednesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Cumberland appeared in three contests, totaling 12 minutes, three rebounds, two points and one assist. He will likely head back to the G League, where he was playing for the Delaware Blue Coats.

  • Trail Blazers' Jarron Cumberland: Joins depleted Portland squad

Cumberland signed a 10-day contract with the Trail Blazers on Sunday. The 6-foot-5 swingman out of Cincinnati was one of three players who joined Portland on 10-day deals Sunday, as the Trail Blazers are set to play without at least eight members of their regular roster Monday against the Mavericks. Due to the numerous missing players, Cumberland could pick up minutes in the short term, though likely not enough to make him a fantasy option. He recently took home MVP honors at the 2021 NBA G League Showcase, averaging 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists in Las Vegas while playing for the Delaware Blue Coats.
