Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores game-high 35 points in win
Bane posted 35 points (12-19 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 9-10 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 128-122 win over Cleveland.
Bane was locked in from the jump, missing just once through the first half. He was clutch down the stretch, scoring 11 of his 35 points in the final frame and capping off his night with a game-deciding triple with 20 seconds left in regulation, which prompted him to break out the Sam Cassell celebration. As a bonus for 9-cat managers, Bane didn't commit a single turnover in his 36 minutes of floor time.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Pours in team-high 30 in win
Bane accumulated 30 points (10-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 10-10 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Saturday's 119-92 win over the Timberwolves.
It's the fifth time in the last 10 games that Bane has delivered at least 30 points. The 27-year-old wing has been on fire over that stretch, during which he has averaged 25.6 points, 3.9 boards, 3.9 assists, 3.3 threes and 1.3 steals while shooting 58.1 percent from the floor and 50.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Bane had 25 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), two rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 126-109 win over the Wizards.
Paolo Banchero led the way for the Magic with an impressive 37-point performance, but Bane was the team's second-best scorer with a solid showing as well. The star forward has been on a roll of late and has scored 20-plus points in five of his seven appearances since the All-Star break, averaging 25.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Big scoring night not enough
Bane recorded 30 points (12-19 FG, 6-10 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and two steals over 38 minutes during the Magic's 113-108 loss to the Rockets on Thursday.
Bane helped the Magic build a large lead with 17 points in the first half, but his scoring efforts weren't enough to hold off the Rockets' comeback that started in the third quarter. It was Bane's 10th 30-plus point performance of the season -- four of which have come in his last six games -- and the fourth time he connected on at least six three-pointers. Since the All-Star break, Bane has averaged 27.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 4.0 threes and 1.8 steals over 35.5 minutes per game while connecting on 61.9 percent of his field-goal attempts.

The 27-year-old wing continues his February surge. Bane has scored more than 20 points in seven of the last eight games, averaging 26.3 points, 3.4 threes, 3.1 boards, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals over that span while shooting 59.5 percent from the floor and 48.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Drops 36 in win
Bane recorded 36 points (13-19 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 6-10 FT), five rebounds, two steals and an assist in 32 minutes during Sunday's 111-109 win over the Clippers.
Bane continued his string of excellent play Sunday, posting a team-high 36 points on great efficiency. Although Bane spent the majority of the game draining buckets, his single assist came on a touchdown pass to Paolo Banchero with 40 seconds left, the score that ultimately gave them the victory. Bane has now scored 30-plus points in back-to-back games, and in three out of his last four contests overall.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores game-high 34 points
Bane posted 34 points (12-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 40 minutes in Saturday's 113-110 triple-overtime loss to the Suns.
Bane did everything in his power to carry the Magic to a victory, but a last-second game-winning three from Jalen Green prevented him from doing so. Bane has now scored 30-plus points in two of his last three games while putting up at least 22 in five of his last six contests, so he's doing an excellent job operating as the Magic's No. 2 option on offense behind Paolo Banchero, and even taking over when the game calls for it.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Nets 31 points with eight treys
Bane supplied 31 points (11-17 FG, 8-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 116-108 loss to the Bucks.
Bane was scorching to begin Wednesday's game, as he dropped in 20 points on eight shots in his first 10 minutes of play, and he wound up matching his career high in three-point makes. Bane has now scored 20-plus points in four straight, and the Magic have won three of their past four games.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Highly efficient scoring night
Bane closed with 25 points (8-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist over 31 minutes during Monday's 118-99 win over the Bucks.
Bane connected from all over in Monday's win. His only misses came from behind the arc, where he still shot 40 percent on five tries. While Bane's three-point percentage is at a career-low 35.7 percent, he's one of the best free-throw shooters in the league this season, shooting 93.0 percent from the charity stripe.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores 23 points with four steals
Bane ended Thursday's 118-98 victory over the Nets with 23 points (7-14 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, four assists and four steals over 32 minutes.
Bane was held to just seven points on 3-for-7 shooting in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Thunder, so it was nice to see him get things back on track Thursday evening. He did a good job of taking advantage of Brooklyn's lackluster effort on defense, repeatedly attacking the rim and cashing in on easy looks. Bane will look to keep his foot on the gas pedal Saturday with a favorable matchup against the Jazz.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Drills seven threes in Friday's win
Bane posted 32 points (11-15 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two assists and one rebound over 36 minutes during Orlando's 130-120 win over Toronto on Friday.
Bane couldn't be stopped from beyond the arc Friday, and he propelled the Magic to a come-from-behind victory with 16 points in the fourth quarter while connecting on all six of his field-goal attempts in the frame (including 4-for-4 from downtown). It was the sixth time in Bane's six-year NBA career that he connected on at least seven triples in a game, and he was one shy of matching his career best that he set in October 2022 as a member of the Grizzlies. Bane has averaged 23.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 3.6 threes and 1.0 steals over 36.4 minutes per game across his last five outings.

Bane ended with 23 points (10-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound, five assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 133-124 victory over Miami.
Bane had some shooting woes in December and early January, but he seems to be turning things around. He has scored at least 20 points while shooting at least 50 percent from the floor in three of his last four appearances. Bane has reached the 20-point mark in five of his past eight games, making 48.4 percent of his shots and 35 percent of his threes during that span.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores 19 points vs. Cleveland
Bane logged 19 points (7-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one block and one steal over 38 minutes during the Magic's 114-98 loss to the Celtics on Monday.
Bane was responsible for three of the Magic's 11 three-pointers Monday and finished as the team's second-leading scorer behind Paolo Banchero (37 points), though no other Orlando player scored more than 15 points during the loss. Since Jan. 2, Bane has averaged 18.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.7 threes and 1.1 steals over 35.1 minutes per game.

Magic's Desmond Bane: Posts efficient shooting line
Bane ended with 21 points (8-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 32 minutes during Thursday's 124-97 loss to the Hornets.
Bane was one of two Magic starters to reach the 20-point threshold, as Paolo Banchero paced the team with 23 points, but it was Bane who displayed more efficiency. He looked more comfortable from downtown throughout the night, hitting three treys in five attempts despite converting at a clip of 20.8 percent from deep in his last six games entering Thursday. Overall, it was a promising sign to see Bane get back on track offensively after being held in check in his previous two appearances.
