  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Hits for 22 against Lakers

Bane contributed 22 points (9-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, six assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 110-109 win over the Lakers. The 27-year-old wing continues his February surge. Bane has scored more than 20 points in seven of the last eight games, averaging 26.3 points, 3.4 threes, 3.1 boards, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals over that span while shooting 59.5 percent from the floor and 48.2 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Drops 36 in win

Bane recorded 36 points (13-19 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 6-10 FT), five rebounds, two steals and an assist in 32 minutes during Sunday's 111-109 win over the Clippers. Bane continued his string of excellent play Sunday, posting a team-high 36 points on great efficiency. Although Bane spent the majority of the game draining buckets, his single assist came on a touchdown pass to Paolo Banchero with 40 seconds left, the score that ultimately gave them the victory. Bane has now scored 30-plus points in back-to-back games, and in three out of his last four contests overall.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores game-high 34 points

Bane posted 34 points (12-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 40 minutes in Saturday's 113-110 triple-overtime loss to the Suns. Bane did everything in his power to carry the Magic to a victory, but a last-second game-winning three from Jalen Green prevented him from doing so. Bane has now scored 30-plus points in two of his last three games while putting up at least 22 in five of his last six contests, so he's doing an excellent job operating as the Magic's No. 2 option on offense behind Paolo Banchero, and even taking over when the game calls for it.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Nets 31 points with eight treys

Bane supplied 31 points (11-17 FG, 8-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 116-108 loss to the Bucks. Bane was scorching to begin Wednesday's game, as he dropped in 20 points on eight shots in his first 10 minutes of play, and he wound up matching his career high in three-point makes. Bane has now scored 20-plus points in four straight, and the Magic have won three of their past four games.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Highly efficient scoring night

Bane closed with 25 points (8-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist over 31 minutes during Monday's 118-99 win over the Bucks. Bane connected from all over in Monday's win. His only misses came from behind the arc, where he still shot 40 percent on five tries. While Bane's three-point percentage is at a career-low 35.7 percent, he's one of the best free-throw shooters in the league this season, shooting 93.0 percent from the charity stripe.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores 23 points with four steals

Bane ended Thursday's 118-98 victory over the Nets with 23 points (7-14 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, four assists and four steals over 32 minutes. Bane was held to just seven points on 3-for-7 shooting in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Thunder, so it was nice to see him get things back on track Thursday evening. He did a good job of taking advantage of Brooklyn's lackluster effort on defense, repeatedly attacking the rim and cashing in on easy looks. Bane will look to keep his foot on the gas pedal Saturday with a favorable matchup against the Jazz.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Drills seven threes in Friday's win

Bane posted 32 points (11-15 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two assists and one rebound over 36 minutes during Orlando's 130-120 win over Toronto on Friday. Bane couldn't be stopped from beyond the arc Friday, and he propelled the Magic to a come-from-behind victory with 16 points in the fourth quarter while connecting on all six of his field-goal attempts in the frame (including 4-for-4 from downtown). It was the sixth time in Bane's six-year NBA career that he connected on at least seven triples in a game, and he was one shy of matching his career best that he set in October 2022 as a member of the Grizzlies. Bane has averaged 23.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 3.6 threes and 1.0 steals over 36.4 minutes per game across his last five outings.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Efficient shooting in win

Bane ended with 23 points (10-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound, five assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 133-124 victory over Miami. Bane had some shooting woes in December and early January, but he seems to be turning things around. He has scored at least 20 points while shooting at least 50 percent from the floor in three of his last four appearances. Bane has reached the 20-point mark in five of his past eight games, making 48.4 percent of his shots and 35 percent of his threes during that span.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Posts efficient shooting line

Bane ended with 21 points (8-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 32 minutes during Thursday's 124-97 loss to the Hornets. Bane was one of two Magic starters to reach the 20-point threshold, as Paolo Banchero paced the team with 23 points, but it was Bane who displayed more efficiency. He looked more comfortable from downtown throughout the night, hitting three treys in five attempts despite converting at a clip of 20.8 percent from deep in his last six games entering Thursday. Overall, it was a promising sign to see Bane get back on track offensively after being held in check in his previous two appearances.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Hits for team-high 23 in loss

Bane provided 23 points (9-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds and five assists over 38 minutes during Friday's 103-91 loss to the 76ers. The 23 points led the Magic, who were missing some key pieces in Jalen Suggs (knee) and both Franz Wagner (ankle) and Moritz Wagner (knee). Bane has scored in double digits in 11 of the last 12 games, averaging 20.2 points, 4.8 boards, 4.1 assists, 1.6 threes and 1.6 combined steals and blocks over that stretch, and Orlando will continue to lean on him for offense until the roster gets healthier.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Needs 14 shots to score nine points

Bane notched nine points (4-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 104-103 overtime victory over the Nets. Bane got himself into some early foul trouble, which played a role in going scoreless through the first half of action with just one shot attempt over 11 minutes. He didn't do much better over the second half, and despite the game going to overtime, Bane was held to single digits in the scoring department for just the fourth time this season.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Logs 15 points vs. Washington

Bane totaled 15 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three assists and two rebounds over 24 minutes during the Magic's 120-112 loss to the Wizards on Tuesday. Bane and the rest of the Magic starters did not play in the fourth quarter while facing a 26-point deficit, as head coach Jamahl Mosley opted to stick with the bench during a furious comeback in the final frame that ultimately fell short. Bane's 24 minutes were his lowest since Nov. 4 against the Hawks (23 minutes), and the sixth-year pro, along with fellow starters Paolo Banchero, Tristan da Silva, Anthony Black and Wendell Carter, will look to bounce back in the second leg of the Magic's back-to-back set Wednesday against the Nets.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Hits for 31 in Sunday's win

Bane ended with 31 points (12-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals in 37 minutes during Sunday's 135-127 victory over the Pacers. The 27-year-old wing dialed up his first game with 30-plus points since Dec. 20, reaching the 30-point threshold for the fourth time since the beginning of December. Over 16 games during that stretch, Bane is averaging 20.5 points, 4.8 boards, 4.8 assists, 2.1 threes, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 steals per contest.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Good to go Wednesday

Bane (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Bane dealt with back spasms in Monday's loss to Toronto and was deemed questionable for Wednesday's contest. However, the 27-year-old swingman will shed that tag and keep his record of perfect attendance this season alive. The sixth-year pro has averaged 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 blocks in 34.0 minutes per tilt across his last five games.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores 24 points Saturday

Bane had 24 points (7-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 10-10 FT), one rebound and six assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 127-126 win over the Nuggets. Bane didn't make a single three-pointer for the second straight game, as he shot 0-for-6 from downtown in the loss to the Hornets on Friday. However, that inefficiency didn't stop Bane from posting a solid stat line across the board. This was the fourth time Bane scored at least 20 points in his last five appearances, and he's firmly entrenched as one of the most reliable offensive weapons for the Magic. Bane has 20 or more points in six of his 12 appearances in December, so his fantasy upside would be even higher if he were able to increase his efficiency.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Excellent on both sides in win

Bane notched 23 points (6-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 win over the Trail Blazers. Bane added three blocks and three steals to a productive offensive result in Tuesday's win. He was especially effective in the closing minutes, swatting a key shot as the Trail Blazers tried to hold onto a slim lead. Bane got the help he needed from the rest of the squad after an uninspired loss Monday night to the Warriors. With two of the year's final four games against the Pacers and Hornets, Bane should be able to finish 2025 strong against a couple of weak opponents.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Scores winning layup in OT win

Bane racked up 32 points (13-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block over 39 minutes during Saturday's 128-127 overtime win over the Jazz. Bane sealed the victory with a driving layup to the basket with less than a second remaining in the overtime period. This was an excellent bounce-back performance from Bane, who was held to just six points on 3-for-11 shooting his last time out, and he also snatched a steal after failing to do so during Thursday's loss to the Nuggets. While there have been some low points, Bane has been mostly solid over the past month, flirting with top-50 value behind averages of 21.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.0 triples per contest.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Posts dud in loss

Bane produced six points (3-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt), two rebounds, eight assists and two blocks across 36 minutes during Thursday's 126-115 loss to the Nuggets. For the sixth time this season, Bane was held to single-digit points. His usage rate fluctuates a lot in Orlando, but this can simply be chalked up to an off night during a tough matchup. For the season, Bane holds averages of 18.5 points, 4.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.7 three-pointers.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Drops 37 points in NBA Cup quarters

Bane posted 37 points (14-24 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal over 38 minutes during the Magic's 117-108 win over the Knicks during Tuesday's NBA Cup quarterfinals matchup. Bane and the Magic got off to a slow start to Tuesday's NBA Cup clash, but the sixth-year guard proceeded to score in double digits in each of the final three quarters of the game, including 15 points in the fourth, to help punch a ticket to the NBA Cup semifinals Saturday. Bane has scored exactly 37 points in three of his last six games, and he has opened his first year in Orlando averaging 19.0 points, 4.5 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 threes and 0.8 steals over 33.2 minutes per game.

  • Magic's Desmond Bane: Hits for 16 in Sunday's loss

Bane closed Sunday's 106-100 loss to the Knicks with 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one steal across 34 minutes. It was another fairly quiet offensive performance from Bane, who has just 35 points total in his last three games -- less than the 37 he dropped in back-to-back contests on the Pistons and Bulls on Nov. 28 and Dec. 1. The Magic saw Jalen Suggs (leg) and Franz Wagner (lower leg) leave Sunday's game early however, and if either or both of those injuries prove to be serious, Bane's usage could skyrocket. He's scored in double digits in 13 of the last 14 games, averaging 21.1 points, 4.7 assists, 4.5 boards, 1.9 threes and 0.9 steals over that stretch.
